Long overdue, but well-deserved, this five-star review would be more stars if available. There are so many reasons I sing the praises of the staff at the Ethan Allen Danbury store that I am not sure how to fit it all in. Initially, I started with a furniture consultant in another state who sent me to the Danbury store to see certain items. Upon meeting with the delightful store manager, Elizabeth, and explaining why I was there, she noticed the floor plan Iād been given by this other store would not work, not even close, as the dimensions were not adding up and the pieces would not fit, despite my having gained permission for that furniture consultant to visit and measure the condo we were purchasing. I was unable to obtain all wall dimensions due to extenuating circumstances and inaccuracies in the plan the first consultant drew up, but Nancy at EA Danbury did amazing detective work and figured it all out. Elizabeth spoke with the other store, smoothed out the awkward debacle, and worked her magic on many levels. I was put in the very capable hands of Ellen Kilroy at the Danbury store to proceed with the task of decorating the not-yet-owned and, for her, sight-unseen condo. Ellen reads her clientās style perfectly, knows her craft and product inside out, and delivers effortlessly. Ellen is a sheer pleasure to work with! Fast-forward, we could not be happier with the results and absolutely love our condo! The serenity it imbues, the casual elegance that welcomes you into each room, and the beauty that just makes you feel good to be there are all thanks to Ellen, Elizabeth, and the staff at the EA Danbury store. Not only do we love the furniture, rug, dĆ©cor, etc., but the EA Signature mattresses are, by far, the best mattresses of all time. I am so glad we were told about them, so glad we bought them, and only wish Iād known sooner because weāve tried a lot of top name mattresses over the decades and none compare to these. We arrived about 12:45a to a Hotel with absolutely no power. We had no warning, no phone call to alert us of the situation. At almost 1:00 in the morning in Danbury CT we had not much choice to go elsewhere besides we were exhausted and ready to just relax in an air-conditioned room with light.
I understand Ethan Allen was not at fault for the outage but it was a special night that we can not get back and it was not easy for us.
Its been a few months and every time I tell the story, the immediate response is "I'm sure you got your money back and some complimentary meal or anything ?"
We were offered nothing from Ethan Allen even after asking for some type of compensation.
This was not just a regular night but one we wanted to try to make special and were not able due to the circmstances. I was left exhausted in my wedding dress to get an escort with my husband to the other side of the hotel only to struggle in a dark and hot room trying to settle in on my honeymoon night. All in all, were offered a flashlight and an escort to our room. That was it.
I expected a name like Ethan Allen would have seen the situation of a Bride and Groom and wanted to do right by the only party that checked in on their WEDDING NIGTH ! Again, a night we can not get a do over for ! The courtesy of good customer service was not extended in our case. VERY...

Many years back I shopped there. After numerous problems with Ethan Allen, I became a very satisfied Stickley Audi customer. Their customer service truly defines the words, with a high quality product. I only returned to Ethan Allen since I had been in the area, was anxious to place an order, and decided to give them another try, with the hope things might have changed. It has not. Their "attempt" at customer service is clever, and exists for their interest only. Errors are part of human nature, yet their attempts to "persuade and bargain" with the customer, are of great resentment and insult to me. I guess to reach the level of satisfaction one should attain, I would have needed to negotiate back/forth multiple times, a game I do not chose to participate in.
