There was no one on line at the Danbury Fair so I got in and out. I wasn’t expecting much but the staff were really nice.
I ordered a single smashburger, pork belly rice bowl, and pork belly buns.
The smashburger was nice. Lacy at the edges and perfectly cooked in the middle. The onions were caramelized perfectly and the bun was soft and great texture. It came with their sauce and honestly it was good as is. No notes. I’d order another fifty if I could. They’re about the size of a Shake Shack burger. Overall that was worth it alone.
The pork belly buns were out of town. They were spicy and sweet and the bun was the perfect kind of chewy. I was a huge fan of whatever chili oil they used if that’s what it’s called and the cilantro garnish just took it to the top.
The rice bowl was a little bit of a miss. The rice wasn’t really seasoned well, the hearty side of broccoli was overcooked and mushy but what saved it all was the pork belly. Sweet, salty, with chewy bits and melt in your mouth bits of fat. You could put that pork belly on a truck tire and I’d eat it whole. There was probably a chance to add a sauce of some sort in the online kiosk but I wasn’t paying attention.
Either way the food here was solid. The staff were nice and I can’t for the life of me wonder why there wasn’t a line. I know where I’m eating every time I come...
Read moreI tend to get the chomp burger, and I love it every time, even if I should try other things. wonderful place, amazing fries. Great how its cheaper to add a drink and fries to a meal than just adding a drink. i wish they would bring back the rice bowls though. Only place thats not a far drive for something like that. The teriyaki bowl or what I assumed was gyudon was a favorite, always had enough for leftovers. The drink doesn't get you much soda compared to the other places in the food court, but the cups are high enough quality that you can take them home to reuse so its...
Read moreWe recently visited Chomp Chomp and tried the smash burger, pork belly sandwich, and classic Reuben. All three sandwiches were absolutely delicious, but the standout was definitely the smash burger – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The pork belly sandwich and Reuben were also excellent, with each bite bursting with great flavors.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions with big smiles and a warm, welcoming attitude. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back for more. Highly...
