Good store but I had a horrible experience with a rude caucasian redish haired brunette (ponytail and average build probably late 30s to late 40s) female employee wearing a blue sweatshirt and was stocking the ice cream. I asked her for eggroll wrappers she turned like she wanted to kill me. As if i had done something toher or verbally abused her. She pointed at filo dough and said this is what i have.. this is what they use... anyway i bite my tongue and walk away. Ask a younger fellow and he leads me back to my friend sticking large cold things in her ice box. Long story short i hear her complaining about what do you expect from ppl in danbury (im not from ct btw im ftom yonkers ny and shes lucky i didnt explode on her trailer park self or go complain). If i were from danbury id find that insulting people... she thhinks you guys are hipsters making cheesesteak eggrolls. Trust me i had the thought to actually hurt her when i heard her stilll griping to this asian kid. Still like 6 mins later... like yo icebox stop hitting that rocky road and get your head straight the freaking turkey hill is melting(she looks like a "ROCK"star if you know what i mean well worn like mick jagger without the money and not as pretty)......... On a brighter note there is one employee who is extremely friendly and beyond helpful almost so much that it was awkward the first time. A caucasion man again either 30s or 40s. a bit stalky/chubby wears big round glasses and has light dirty blonde hair which is semi-long who works in the produce dept. He stopped what he was doing walked me and my girl about 10 aisles away and took us directly to the olives (first time there). I like that guy and i hope that his managers treat him well. As for icebox she can sit and spin on a fudgecicle. Ive since stopped spending 160 a week there and started frequenting stop and shop more. I still visit shoprite because its closer to gfs house. Although not if i...
Read moreA good array of stores; but the outside needs an uplift. The look is drab and mundane.
The chemist, great clean laundry mat, cellular phone store and of course, Shop Rite. There's great ease in parking and very accommodating for the disabled.
The chemist; Rite Aid; now forged with Walgreens is going out of business, this week. Darn shame. They have merged with 75 main street Walgreens; which has saved my arse multiple times, however, the area feels sketchy at night; hence why my husband only goes....
Needless to say, Walgreens at the Danbury Hospital rocks the casbah. See my review on them. Everything is pharmaceutical grade. Meaning; more potent than that foreign mess they try to pretend works; at much less effective and...
Read moreTraffic around this plaza is horrible. Exiting this plaza, too, can be a longer-than-it-needs-to-be process. Having Shop-Rite in this plaza is wonderful. By far the best quality grocery store chain in Danbury. This store is clean, bright, erll-stocked and never a wait for a cashier. Burlington Coat is there, too, and it is a decent one compared to others in the state. Auto Zone, Carvel, Rite Aid and a dollar store bring variety to the plaza. Just wish people drove slower in the lot, snd the access in and out of plaza was...
