Moon Star — Restaurant in Danbury

Many Chinese take out places have declined in the Danbury/Brewster area, but Moon Star has remained consistent in turning out great food! Whenever I call, the nice woman who answers is friendly, calls me by name, and demonstrates her appreciation for my business. Yesterday afternoon, 2/13/25, I placed a big order: Wonton soup, pork fried rice, bbq spare ribs, steamed dumplings sesame chicken, and chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious, cooked freshly, and portions were generous. Some places cut corners by giving less chicken, but Moon Star puts plenty of chicken in the meals. Been coming here since 2015! After trying other Chinese takeout places nearby, we have always come back to Moon Star as the most consistent, great tasting, least oily, well-priced, and all-around best of Danbury!

Our Favorites: Boneless Ribs Fried Chicken Wings House Special Fried Rice (Chicken, Pork, Shrimp combo) Hot Sour Soup Chicken with Eggplant General Tso’s Chicken Beef & Broccoli Chicken or Veggie Lo Mein

Horrible!! Don't buy here at all. I ordered chicken and it smelled atrocious, literally I ordered chicken fried rice with terriayaki chicken and the chicken smelled and looked bad. Also the the rice had no flavor and tasted like old left overs. I've been reading online that some people are selling rat meat instead of chicken and the way the chicken was served here and smelled made me suspect that the chicken could have been rat meat. Over all don't buy here. I wasted $25 on 2 orders and didn't get refunded either :(...
