Bait and switch. This is not a coffeehouse. And what's even worse is their coffee is a drip coffee maker in the basement.
I brought a friend with me to a concert here to see my favorite singer-songwriter. This singer-songwriter doesn't sing as much about religion as most religious musicians. And because of the name Community Coffeehouse, we assumed this was a Christian-themed coffeehouse.
When we saw the outside of the building, which is an old church, we figured someone had remodeled the inside to be a cute, modern coffeehouse.
It doesn't look like a coffeehouse on the inside at all, and the sanctuary is small and claustrophobia-inducing when it's full of people.
My friend's religious trauma got triggered so hard by the environment that she had to go sit outside for the entire concert. If I'd known this is actually a church and not a coffeehouse, I wouldn't have asked her to come.
