I stopped by my local Kroger close to closing time. I was hurrying to get the items on the list I was given. As soon as the clock struck 11 two female employees began to rudely tell me I needed to leave or I would be unable to purchase my cart full of groceries. I was literally right next to the drink isle and the last thing on my list was soft drinks. I was told that the people up front were going home, I replied I understand, nobody wants to stay at work all night. I quickly made my selection of three 12 packs of soda and headed to check out. From the halfway point of the drink isle to the checkout desk I was truly appalled at the way I was being treated and spoken to. They threatened me by saying they were going to call the police on me, that happened at 11:07. I don’t appreciate being threatened by anyone, let alone by a few rude Kroger employees who were obviously having a bad night. The rotten cherry on top of my last trip to Kroger is that I went with a friend who had the other half of the list. He was told that I was shit out of luck if I was still in the store and that they thought I wasn’t inside the store anymore. He was then told he had to leave immediately. What hurt the most is that he was the one holding the card that my purchase was supposed to be on. They rudely told me that I would not be allowed to wave at my friend who was right outside so I could get the card from him. I had to only get half of what I wanted to get, I don’t know what the store policy is but feel like as long as a patron got to the store before close and was almost done shopping when the clock strikes 11, it shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Maybe I’m wrong but I do know that someone had to put the half a cart of groceries back that I couldn’t afford to get, which definitely took more time to do than it would have to just ring me up and let my buddy hand me a card. I really feel like my friend should have been able to wait for me by the door instead of being threatened with a call to the police. Not to mention the store loosing out on revenue generated by the sale of the items that had to be put back on the shelves. I think someone should really show the employees of the Danville Walmart how they shouldn’t treat paying customers. I’m really just upset, I’m in a crap mood now and my night is ruined. I’d recommend that the grouchy authoritarian blow hard employees that treated my friend and I so poorly tonight be taken off of closing shifts, or better yet let go. I’ve never been treated that badly by a grocery store employee in my...
Read moreWithout going into to much detail my payment method was refused. They would not accept my card. I was on limited time I had all my children with me ages 6months-4 years old. I was trying to get groceries for the week and this was the only time I had to shop in between my job schedule and when I would have a working vehicle. When they refused my payment because I didn’t have my ID. Even though I had other proof of identification that they refused I started crying terrified of how I would feed my 4 children. I had no time to go to other stores this was legit my only time slot. So when they refused I started to cry and walked my children out of the store. I could then hear the cashiers laughing about how if I could afford to take care of my kids I shouldn’t have them, and how crying wouldn’t get my way with them. The store manager refused to even talk to me. When I called Kroger customer service while waiting in store I could still hear the cashiers giggling about how it was pointless of me calling customer service. the store manager refused my money but customer service made it right by issuing me a 75 credit. While rechecking out the cashier Kathy was extremely rude to my husband. She made sure to make it known to him and everyone around him that she wouldn’t accept the card. We done knew this but we were trying to use the credit Kroger customer service gave us. She was throwing my items in the bag talking how we were wrong for calling customer service we should have just left. Blah blah blah .
This will be the last time I shop at this location. Kroger customer service A++
Store manager and cashier Kathy (maybe she is a manger not so sure) treat others the way you would like to be treated. After the way you all treated me today you have some serious karma coming to you.
Just a heads up if you are a low income family or a family on a budget they will judge you. They will belittle you. They think it’s funny to...

Sep 23rd I lost my phone in the store. Which I believe would be a lot of peoples' nightmare, especially those who use their phone for work, like I do. I was fairly panicked and went to ask the employees for help. Only one employee was helpful in telling me where I could search for it. The employees I asked for help at the service counter said it would show up at some point. When I asked how to contact them to make sure I received it when they found it, they shrugged and said to try and call Kroger's. They did not give me a number. And while waiting I could actively hear the employee laughing and making fun of me to another one working at the counter. After prompting them, they finally said something on the loud speaker about keeping an eye out for it.
After leaving the store, my family members found my phone. Thank goodness, they are amazing. However they said the employees at the counter continued to talk very degrading about me when they asked about the phone. Awful experience but I thought I could forgive it for the worth of Kroger's.
I was proven wrong today. Went to buy raspberries as they were on sale but at checkout, they were full price. After explaining they were on sale with the Kroger's Loyalty Card, I was told that it was a coupon only. Not advertised that way. Luckily I had it on my phone. But it took a whole extra 10 minutes to get it to work. Then it only worked for 5 of the packages I got. I had 10. So I voided the rest I got and sent them back and that sealed it. Kroger's is no longer a place I want to shop.
I was highly worried about their plan to price gauge customers but this cemented it. If you don't want prices to be determined on how you look via their cameras and online system, don't shop...
