My daughter has spent almost two months in Room 8 at LAPMS Danville and I’m thrilled with the progress she’s made. When she enrolled, she could only write her name and draw a simple stick figure. Now she independently chooses (at home) to write sentences and draw detailed, recognizable pictures. She truly enjoyed the summer program curriculum, learning all about the human body, and came home every day with a few new vocabulary words. Now that kindergarten is starting, she’s motivated to do the homework and talks about what her teachers will say about it. I’ve never seen my child so excited to learn.
As a homeschooled child of a stay at home mom myself, I have a lot of anxiety about being away from my child all day and having others care for her. I can rest a little easier knowing that there are compassionate adults in her classroom who are there not only to help her learn, but also to help her feel loved. Ms. Esra, Ms. Padmaja, and Ms. Sreeja all demonstrate their care for my daughter by communicating small moments from the day and saying the most positive things about her.
The school-parent communication is organized and professional and makes it easy to plan ahead for important things. Ms. Amrita is open to hear parent concerns and very clear and fair about the expectations of the school. I love that the admin are so friendly and skilled with children - the morning greeting when we walk in and the last few minutes when my daughter waits in the front office before I pick her up are moments of warmth. My daughter is always so excited to see Ms. Sydney, even though she only sees her for a few minutes.
I would like to encourage every local parent with preschool-aged or kindergarten-aged children to check out this beautiful, quality school. I‘m certainly glad I chose to bring my daughter to...
Read moreWe have been incredibly impressed with Learn and Play Montessori school at Danville since our son started attending at age 4. Now at 5, he has grown so much, not just academically but also in social and emotional ways. The teachers here are genuinely compassionate and dedicated to creating a nurturing environment. They truly know each child and approach them with a wonderful blend of warmth and encouragement that fosters confidence and curiosity.
One of the standout aspects of this Montessori program is the early introduction to STEM activities. Our son has been engaged in hands-on projects that introduce foundational STEM concepts, making learning both fun and thought-provoking. This focus on critical thinking and exploration has sparked his interest in the world around him, and it's exciting to see his skills and enthusiasm grow.
The environment is always spotlessly clean, and the staff is meticulous about ensuring it is safe and allergen-free for children with food sensitivities. While our child doesn’t have allergies, we appreciate the extra care taken for others to ensure a safe environment for all. Additionally, the support staff here is exceptional—they go above and beyond to address any concerns, always eager to help with a friendly and attentive approach. Their dedication truly stands out and makes the experience even better.
Overall, this Montessori school has exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their child will be cared for, challenged, and...
Read moreI was a first-time mom with only one child, and choosing the right daycare/preschool was a tough decision with so many factors to consider. As a parent, it’s not easy deciding where your little one will spend such an important part of their life and who they will be with. I visited several places before making my choice, and I visited LAPMS twice to be absolutely sure. After my second visit, I was confident that this was the right place for my little princess.
The teachers at LAPMS are wonderful—kind, patient, and passionate about what they do. Ms. Armeta, the director, always greets us with a warm smile, and the front desk staff are professional, attentive, and proactive. They’ve created an environment that feels like home, and I can see that they truly care about the children.
The diversity of the students, teachers, and staff was also an important factor in my decision, and it’s something I value greatly. Everyone is welcoming, and you can see the joy in the children's faces. Happy kids are the best sign of a great preschool, and LAPMS has that in abundance.
Now, every time I pick up my daughter, she’s smiling, and that’s all I need to know that we made the right choice. My husband and I often say that one of the best decisions we've made in our marriage was sending our daughter to LPMD. We even have a little baby boy now, and we can't wait for him to become a student there in the future.
To all the moms and dads out there: don't hesitate to make your decision. Your children will be happy and well-cared...
