My wife and I are very unhappy with the long wait times in the checkout lines. Your web site shows that you have figured the times of day when you are most busy, so why don't you have more checkers scheduled to work during those times! Generally, there is someone who watches to see that this is addressed if there is a problem, but this occurs too infrequently. Further, when I complain, suddenly you are able to fix the problem, although this is not always the case. Today, I complained to someone who was supposed to be the Manager ( this was definitely not the manager) and I was given the verbal runaround about how he would be looking into the problem. When I asked what was going to be done and how soon would it be fixed, I was told that this was an internal issue and none of my business! I don't appreciate being given the run-around and being put off by verbal double talk. And, I don't appreciate insincere apologies without an action plan being offered up as a solution to the problem. I am writing this review because this has happened far too many times recently and in spite of several discussions of the matter with various store personnel, I see little improvement. If you care about your customers, please don't waste their time!! We have other important things to do and waiting in line isn't...
Read moreMeijer is the newest facility among the grocery/super center options in danville. If you don't mind spending a little extra for a good clean atmosphere with plenty of room to navigate the aisles, optional small carts, enough self service lanes to rarely cause a check out line, and higher quality produce than it's competitor, then Meijer is the place for you.
If you are loyal enough to follow the ads, religiously use Meijer perks, and snag the 10 for 10 every time it's offered then you might even have a competitive bill to the likes of Wal-Mart, county market, and sometimes even aldi.
Aside from pricing, the staff is always helpful and friendly. They seem like they actually want to work which is rare for the industry.
Lastly, the parking lot has sufficient space even when busy; however, the far south end is separated by a median that makes things awkward to get to with a cart. Most importantly, the south entry/exit did not get the stop light it deserved making it the most deadly intersection in town since Meijer's opening. Do everyone the service of using the north entrance to exit south-bound (it has a stop light); it's actually...
Read moreCustomer service needs serious attention! 2 days in a row the pharmacy shuts down while I’m waiting in the drive through. I’m in line already and they turn me away when I reach the window besides the cashiers attitude as to why they aren’t going to wait on me since I was there in plenty of time before they closed. The 2nd time I wasn’t having it, I just drove clear across town to get turned away because the cashier working the drive through window took over 10 minutes to take care of the customer at the window & they think it’s ok to just shut the lights off because the clock reached 7:00!!! Only to find out they didn’t even fill all my meds which they verbally assured me they were going to after closing on me the previous night while I’m waiting in line. I’ll be on the phone to the store manager 1st thing tomorrow morning. I’ve been your waitress for very many years Jim Mitchell (pharmacist). What if I just walked by and grabbed your plate out from in front of you before you’re done eating because it’s time for me to get off work?!?! Think about it, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t...
