We went to this store and traded in two phones, transferred two lines and used one phone we already had that was active with another carrier. We go home and have NO SERVICE! Not even on the phone that was working fine on the other carrier a few hours before. The store manager told us that she wouldn't send our trade in phones until Monday. (This was a Friday). Saturday I go in and tell the same two employees that were there the previous day (at the time only 3 people worked there). I told them that we wanted to return everything and get our trades back. I was told that I would have to wait until Monday when the store manager was there. They also made notes for the Store Manager and said they would let her know personally. Well we had to make an emergency trip from Illinois to Eastern Tennessee. Knowing that we were an hour ahead, I called the store as soon as it opened. The store manager answered. I told her who I was and she remembered me. I explained that we had no service and wanted to return everything and get our trades back. She told me she had a few customers and asked if she could call me back in a few minutes. I said sure. She called me back FOUR HOURS LATER and informed me that she had just sent our phones with UPS. I am livid!!! This was a nighmare and it took over a month to get the money they were refunding. Not to mention that even though they had "dummies" of our phones in store, they don't actually have them in stock anywhere. So we lost the best...
Read moreThere were or are too many steps involved with trading your phone. That is not the fault of the store though, just the process itself. I wasn’t thrilled that I had to take the old phone to a UPS store. That was unexpected and unwelcome after having to make three trips; totaling roughly 5 hours to the store. At this time, everything has worked out and is fine. Staff is friendly and attentive. I’m not always the easiest customer, I have a low tolerance for malarkey. Verizon’s corporate customer service; on the other hand, over the phone sucked. Flat out lied to me about actions taken in my account. The people in the store had a clue, and did their jobs. I recently upgraded my phone to a newer version and the sales rep Ebony and General Manager Amy were super helpful from the moment I walked in. I walked into this place feeling like I already knew them and it just felt like a place where I could really be helped instead of being talked into buying something. They answered all of my questions and even connected with me while we waited for some things to finish up.
