I have been going to Buen for 25+ years starting back when they had the small location by the high school. I have lived in Chicago and now live in NC and this is still my favorite restaurant. We are always treated well when we go! The Chile con queso is the best I’ve ever had, and everything I’ve ever tried on the menu has been enjoyable. This place will always have a special place in my heart!

Upon arrival the staff were friendly and we were seated immediately. After that service fell apart. It took them 3 tries to bring us the correct drinks and to remember the queso. When we got our food it was just okay. Everything was drenched in a sauce and soggy. I will say that the tamales were the best part of the meal.

Stopped in after Church for lunch and again, as always, it was delicious... We started out with the chips and salsa (mild), plus the small bowl of guacamole... She had two Toastidas from the 'pick two' menu and I had the Chimichanga from the Lunch menu... So many great selections to choose from! Highly recommended!!!

Best authentic Mexican food in Illinois. Amazing prices and the real deal on typical Mexican fare. If this restaurant was located in Chicago it would cost a fortune. Unfortunately most people in Danville don’t recognize how great this restaurant really is. The upside is that it’s usually not terribly busy and the atmosphere is lovely. The workers treat my table like family. Patrons are greeted with smiles and great chips and salsa! My group loves going here because it is rarely busy so we can take up half the place and just ENJOY our dinner. There is a food perfection for every taste and a well-stocked bar. This will always be a winner here...
