If you aren’t ARMY, don’t expect this store to hold any events or even show support to your favorite group. I won’t be shopping here again and would rather take my business up to Orlando.
When l this store first opened I came in to purchase roughly $300 worth of product. At the time, it was clear that the store had a bias toward BTS which I don’t mind because I like them too, however I’ve been a kpop fan for longer than BTS has even been a group, so I have plenty of older groups I like. As the 15 year anniversary arrived for SHINee and the 11 years for EXO, I was really excited to see what the closest kpop store near my house would do. Especially since I was a paying customer who happily supported their opening with a lot of money. However, while those groups are very famous and have large followings, the store was silent about any congratulatory posts on their Instagram or events to celebrate such impressive feats. I even reached out to them via DM on their Instagram to ask if they had any plans to celebrate EXO’s anniversary and they ignored me (which I know to be the case, because when some scammer faked their username and followed me and I brought it to their attention, they responded very quickly. Still never answering my question about EXO…) I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I didn’t say anything else and moved on, only to see that they posted a congratulations to BTS on their 10 year anniversary recently. It’s become clear to me that they don’t care about anything but BTS, and actively promote only BTS and 3rd to 4th gen groups. The product in their shop they have of older groups is sparse too. And EXO is coming out with their first full group comeback on Monday, which I doubt they will stock heavily. They don’t make much room for Blackpink either, and I can only assume it’s because they are ARMY and that is BTS’s main competitor.
Needless to say, this shop is run poorly. As a kpop store that is catering to many different fans across the kpop industry, fan wars and bias should never be allocated to your business. I urge anyone who is not sole ARMY, look for your albums and merch online or at another store. Until this store starts catering to fans of other groups than their bias, I will not give them any more of my money....
Read moreLong Review Ahead I've been to the store about five times already and it's not a bad place to shop but it is definitely not my favorite kpop store. The prices for the albums are just simply too high, you can get nearly every single album cheaper online. If you are impatient and don't want to wait for shipping than by all means go to this store (although target albums and the albums in the orlando kpop store are cheaper). One point this store has over the only other florida kpop store is their stock. They often restock albums more often than the Orlando store and have more variety. Although if you are a fan of not so popular groups or girl groups in general than the album you're looking for is probably in stock. If you stan stray kids, nct, txt, enhypen, etc sometimes they will run out. (check their instagram for restock updates).
Despite the albums being pricey, the other merch is actually fairly priced and worth it. They often have items straight from korea that are quite affordable. The sanrio items, daiso items and concert merch is all affordable and much cheaper than online retailers. However, you won't know what's in stock unless you follow them on instagram and actively look at their stories. The makeup section is 50/50 but still better than yesstyle since they have testers.
In terms of the staff and customer service, I'm glad others have positives experiences but personally I haven't had such luck. The last two times I went there have been times where they store is completely unmanned with the workers hanging out with their friends in the back of the store and I have to wait about five-ish minutes for someone to check me out.
Overall, since its the only one in south florida I would say go at least once if...
Read moreIve been to Kpop Kastle a few times in the past and have always had a great experience! It’s the closes Kpop store to me being as I live an hour and a half away and make the drive all the way to the store to buy albums. But today I went and didn’t realize they had an event going on. Usually that wouldn’t be a problem but when we walked in we weren’t greeted by anyone, on top of that half of the selection of albums were blocked off due to this event they had. No one came to us to see if we needed help, nor did they offer to ask the customers that were there for the event if they would please move so we would be able to browse the rest of the album selection. It definitely came off as unprofessional, and made it seem like they didn’t care about us as customers and only cared about those who were there for the event. It sucked for me and my friends who were excited to buy some albums but couldn’t due to the...
