El Macero Center — Local services in Davis

It's your standard strip mall with a couple of hidden jewels. Guadalajara grill is a great little Mexican food cafe with great prices and really good food. Huku is a Japanese restaurant with very high quality sushi, a sushi bar, and great bento boxes, but it's a little overpriced. Excellent inside dining. Wok of Flame used to be the best Chinese in town, but in my opinion it has lost some of its quality over the years, while keeping its prices high. El Macero cleaners is the best dry cleaning in town. Wendy will help you with alterations and any kind of fabric care you need. Nugget Market is the best fresh and clean grocery store in town, with the possible exception of the other Nugget in North Davis, but they are both excellent. The South Davis Veterinarian is also one of the best with caring staff and excellent service. The center itself is worn out. It needs a lot of work to bring it back to it's former glory, but it serves the community well, and always has. Nothing a coat of paint, some security cameras, and some new asphalt or concrete work...

Yes, this is where the Starbucks is, as well as some other places. There's Nugget market, another overpriced venue of palatable delight, and next to that is a mexican food place that is awesome. Very. Good. Central american style food stuffs. Burritos. Tacos. Pupusas. Menudo, etc. They also have a dynamite breakfast special. So c'mon, check it out. I always wanted to make a comment about this place. My friend worked there for many years, I have been gone there for almost 15 years or so. The burritos are the best, but you go there and order chicken burritos, or beef burritos ETC, 🌯 you end up getting almost nothing of chicken, or beef, or carnitas, they stuffed very well with rice and beans.
