Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Dayton

I shop at GFS once a week for our small business. I utilize this GFS once monthly only when necessary. The very first time I came here I was in line with a young cashier who stated she could not help me with boxing my items as it was against the company's policy. When I explained that every other GFS assisted with boxing, She looked at me as though I was crazy.

I sought out the store team leader who was more than hospitable, not only assisted me with the boxing but also assisted me with getting items to my vehicle.

Fast forward to today. I walked into the store to see the same cashier and was hopeful that things had improved. Upon checking out there was a different cashier than the last time. After purchase I asked her if she could help me with boxes and she stated " pick out whichever one you want" She then advised me that I would have to box the items to which I thought she may assist in some facet. That was not the case.

I want to point out I saw the same team leader once again. Working hard in the aisles to get things prepared. At this point, I'm convinced the only good thing about the store is the team leader. I can only imagine how frustrated she must be with this team. In the future, I will visit other locations to avoid an experience...

I was really not impressed with the service from the cashier. Start it off she asked me how I was doing I said I was very tired. She did not respond. She started taking stuff out of my car and entering it into the register. She got the light stuff off. At the same time I went to get a box for my 6 bags of vanilla frost line ice cream mix. At this point she was complaining that the box was too heavy. It was a box of 12 inch burrito shells. She told me to pick it up for her it was too heavy. At this time I had a case of water that I was going to put on the bottom shelf of the cart. But she was in the way so I couldn't. So she said no and hit my arm. I was not really impressed with her. So your pulled pork is too tough or burned or you simply want pulled pork drop by Gordon Food Service Store and buy the quantity you need perfectly prepared by the can. Who knew. The same for perfect appetizers, although frozen - mini quiche assortment and/or spanakopita (spinach and feta cheese in phyllo pastery). If you need 40 pounds of chicken wings yours for $80 and hugh quantities of Buffalo sauce available, too. Need home cooked chocolate chip cookies the dough is premeasured for each cookie.
