Thank you to the owners and staff at The Brightside, who all work diligently and seamlessly together to make their space such a unique, versatile, and welcoming venue for guests of all kinds!

After attending a wedding and various other events, my husband and I knew it was the space we wanted to get married in.

From the bride & groom suites we used to get ready in, the loft we utilized for our ceremony, to the bar we held our cocktail hour in, and the ballroom that housed our reception... we couldn’t have been happier with the convenience of our whole day being spent in one space. I know our guests enjoyed this too, as several have mentioned to us.

There is plenty of parking - just refer to their parking map as not all the parking they offer is their “main” lot.

Unfortunately, we had awful weather the day of our wedding - full of thunderstorms, high winds, and even tornado watches - so we were unable to take advantage of their outdoor murals, or their heated patio. Which was a bummer, but you know what they say about rain on your wedding day!

The best music venue in Dayton! I've been to every venue in the area, including several that are now closed (such as The Attic) and this place is my absolute favorite. It has a larger room for bigger acts that come through, and a smaller stage in the same room as the bar for smaller/lesser known acts. I've only been to two shows there due to having discovered the place shortly before the pandemic hit, but I was able to see shows on each of the two stages. The bar service was spectacular, and the sound quality was superb in both rooms.

My first time there was the night I attended the show on the smaller stage, and the owner of the venue was bartending that night. I spoke with him quite a bit, and he is hands down one of the friendliest and most down-to-earth guys that I've ever met.

The show I attended in the larger room was sold out (Miss May I was the headliner) and I missed the very start of the show; which meant the parking lot was completely full, however, there was plenty of free parking less than a block away in a safe/secure parking lot.

Overall, it's an amazing venue with a great atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. I highly recommend...

We recently held our wedding at The Brightside Music & Event Venue and we were so happy with how everything turned out! From getting ready in the bridal suites, to the ceremony in the beautiful Loft, to the cocktail hour in the bar and the reception in the ballroom, it was a perfect day! The Brightside staff worked with us every step of the way and were great at communicating and explaining things. Carli, Sophie and Suzy were particularly wonderful at making sure all of our needs were met in the leadup to our event and the day of. Our guests were very complimentary of the bar staff throughout the night. The suggestions and insights from Carli & Sophie were extremely valuable throughout the planning process. Our guests loved taking photos on the upstairs patio swing and the weather was so great that the outdoor patio downstairs became a great spot for guests to hang out. The venue has so much personality to it and we cannot be more pleased with our decision to have our wedding there! We highly recommend The Brightside for...
