Outrageously overpriced food. It's $15 for a quarter pounder hamburger (cheese costs extra) with a side salad, and the salad is literally just a pile of lettuce with some dressing and nothing else. The burger was fine, but it wasn't anything special and it was definitely not worth 15 dollars. Plus the menu has about 5 choices and one of them is priced at $80 and their spaghetti was priced at $26 a plate. Maybe the beer is good, but the food ain't worth it.
Edit: Very good corporate answer from the company. "The burger is actually 6 ounces, not 4 (no doubt measured before it was cooked which means after it's cooked it weighs less). The $80 plate is supposed to feed 2-3 people. The food is priced high because it's locally sourced so we're not making money hand over fist."
My complaint was never with profit margins, I don't care if you guys make a 200% return on your food if it's actually worth what it costs. The issue is that an average quality burger with a pile of lettuce on the side is $15 dollars and the spaghetti costs $26. Who thinks a regular burger is worth $15 or a plate of spaghetti is worth $26?
When I say the food is overpriced I'm not talking about how much profit the company is making. I'm talking about whether or not the value the customer receives is worth the money they pay. To...
Read moreThe beers were spot on. I thought the flavor profiles were perfect representations of the style of beer brewed. I often find places that will try too many unique flavors or over hop. Every beer I had here was very nicely balanced and colored. Clean tap lines are also a pet peeve of mine and the atmosphere seems like they will continue the maintenance needed to deliver proper flavor. I only ordered the charcuterie board, it was amazing. 2 cheeses - a goat and a Gouda. Both had depth and dimension-, a smoked ham and salami, sooo many delicious pickles, and literally the best cashews I’ve ever had. I really appreciate their selections of high quality well crafted products. It was really busy and it is a small location, however everyone was accommodating and friendly. You should expect to wait. This is not the kinda place with giant, inexpensive portions but it is not at all pretentious. Staff was kind and approachable even when I saw them under extreme stress and rudeness. I love that most everything, including the grains they brew with are locally sourced. I highly recommend if you like to keep your dollars in small local business and care about quality over quantity. It’s great to have such a nice place in town and plan on frequenting...
Read moreI went to Little Fish recently as a brand new customer who had heard a lot of positive word of mouth. It was warranted!
I wish I had come hungrier, because the food is small batch chef prepared and is absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful fresh biscuit with homemade butter and jam that I wished I had a dozen of. I also really enjoyed a pineapple cider available, and the home fries were absolutely perfect. I'm not much of a beer connoisseur but the ones I had lunch with were very appreciative of what was on draft.
I will definitely be back for the food if nothing else! Great space, great food, great staff.
Edit 9/12/24:
Came in the evening for dinner, and had the salmon with quinoa and pesto. It was consistent with the brunch type food I had last time, absolutely delicious, but also a complete meal that was complex in flavor and definitely felt like an end of summer dish. As someone who isn't much of a drinker I really appreciate the wide range of nonalcoholic beverages available as well. It's very nice to enjoy a meal in that atmosphere with a tasty drink that doesn't have to contain alcohol. Will continue to be a visitor for the quality of food and tastes being offered here. High compliments to the...
