While the hotel is beautiful and the room met all of my expectations, the process of checking in would deter me from ever staying here again or recommending it to anyone I know. I reserved my room in order to have a place to get ready for a wedding and to spent the night after attending the wedding.
I arrived around 2:45 PM in order to make sure I could park, get checked in, and get my room key promptly at 3:00 PM (the check-in time) and have adequate time to get ready for the wedding.
When speaking to the lady at the front desk, she informed me that my room was not yet ready. I thought this was a bit strange, considering I was only about 10 minutes early by the time I parked my car. I waited patiently in the lobby. When other people arrived, she checked them in and gave them room keys before she allowed me to have access to my room. A few minutes after 3:00 PM, I approached the desk again, and she loudly said, "check in isn't until 3" and I explained to her that it was already after 3 and that I was getting concerned about not having enough time to get ready for my event. She rudely told me "check in isn't until 3" again and told me to be seated. About 10 minutes later, she rudely called into the room (where there were multiple guests) and I did not know she was speaking to me, so she continued yelling into the lobby. After giving me the room key, she followed us into the elevator and touched my friend's necklace while continuing to be passive aggressive to us.
I would never stay here again because of that experience. I did not have access to my room until well after the promised check-in time, which nearly made me late to the event, and I would not like to encounter the receptionist again in any...
Read moreWe had our wedding block here, with the majority of guests being out of state. Many guests, including us, had to wait thirty minutes past the check in time before getting in our room because the rooms were not ready. Our poor guests that traveled hours had to then camp out in the lobby with all their belongings. One of our groomsmen wasn’t able to get in to his room for two hours and was then late to the rehearsal.
One of our guests ordered pizza and had it delivered to the front desk so he could run down and get it. The staff TOOK IT and ate it. He went down to get it when it was delivered and they admitted they thought it was ordered for them. No refund for stealing someone else’s food.
We had many back and forth conversations with the sales person regarding handing out welcome bags to the guests. Because our room was not ready, I had to sit in the lobby and watched guest after guest check in and not get handed a bag. I had to run up and ask the staff if the person was listed on the wedding block, to which they said yes, and then had to ask that they hand out the bag to the guest.
Plus, we were told if we booked a certain number of rooms we would get our room comped. We exceeded the limit by 4 rooms but were not given the comped room because 6 of the people used credit card points to pay for the room. It was such a scam, but in hindsight now we are not surprised.
The hotel has a nice appearance but it poorly managed. Very misleading and disappointing. I’m embarrassed we had this problem in front of our friends and family that traveled so far. They...
Read moreThe hotel was centrally located to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Although the parking was not right on the property it was in a covered parking lot within a short walk to the hotel and the cost was included in our stay ! The front lobby looked rather new and was clean and shiny. Front desk staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel room was very clean and accommodating for 2 of us and came with the amenities you would generally expect. We had a king bed and it was comfortable, although the pillows were rather soft and despite both of us having 2 pillows each we could have used 1 or 2 more to be more comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was well done with a good variety of choices for us as we eat a carnivore diet. The coffee was a good as you would get at Starbucks. I don't know her name but the staff member who kept the buffet full was definitely one of the hardest working individuals I have seen. She was friendly, accommodating and exceptional and the hotel should award her appropriately. The only negative to our stay was that on the 2nd day of being there we returned later in the day after sightseeing and our room had not been serviced by housekeeping. I called the front desk and the staff person who had checked us in informed me that they had forgotten to tell us that housekeeping is only every other day. Staff member did provide us with additional towels however it would have been nice to have the bed turned down and used...
