Giving this place a 5 again, minor problems I’ve had have generally been fixed and this is a really nice place to see a game, even if the team isn’t good

Minor League Baseball in general is a good way to get to a baseball game without spending as much money as going to see a Major League game (and, around here at least, needing to travel to Cincinnati). This is the best stadium I’ve been to, though with a sample size of just 4. The experience here does seem to focus more on the baseball than other parks, though there is of course still entertainment to focus on between innings. You’re not going to get the PA announcer trying to hype the crowd up between every batter like I saw several years ago in Lake County, for example, just some graphics on that amazing video board and music which I consider a positive.
Food is still a bit more expensive than you’d think it should be, but I’ve never seen a stadium for any sport where it wasn’t. It’s reasonable compared to other, especially Major League, stadiums. There isn’t a crazy thing to draw you in and get media attention, sure. You’ll still get your hot dogs (and like 5 kinds of sausages), burritos, pulled pork, chicken tenders, and cheesesteak to give some variety. Lines aren’t typically that long either, though exceptions can happen in rare cases of course.
Overall, this place is well worth spending a few hours if you have even a small interest in baseball. All the seats are good and it’s easy to just have fun here. The addition of the pitch clock helps keep things moving too. Sure, the team hasn’t even reached a league final despite being in its 22nd season, but at least it’s...
Read moreHonestly not a bad ballpark for baseball in regards to seat configuration. Wide aisles and wide seats so it doesn’t feel like you are seating right on top of people. Every seat has an excellent view of the field.
Dragons organization take fan safety to the max, safety net is extended all the way done.
Issue is that the main concourse is not wide enough for the additional vendors that set up food stands. The line for dipping dots was long and with people watching the game, it crowded up the concourse.
For single A baseball, concessions prices are high. A personal pizza and large drink is 11 dollars. Those are MLB prices not Minor League. Ticket prices for stadium seats are $19 via Ticketmaster from the Dragons website. A Triple A club in Columbus has stadium seats starting at 7 dollars and those guys playing have a better chance of making it to the majors.
Plenty of parking nearby ($5) just bring cash. There is a parking garage near the park that is for Dragon fans only.

Read moreGreatest experience of my life!! I'm on cloud nine right now! I've been to Italy, I've been to New York. I've had slices from some of the most renowned pizzerias in the world. I thought I had had it all until I recently came to a Dayton Dragon's game here at Fifth Third field. Right around the 5th inning, I decided to treat myself to a nice personal pizza. I settled down in my seat, and nothing could have prepared me for what I would find inside of that cardboard box. I opened it up and my life changed forever. Staring back at me was a circle of 3 hour aged cheddar and tomato sauce in all of it's glory. Each bite was pure euphoria, and I will tell my grandchildren about the life changing experience that I had at Fifth Third field. If you're ever in Dayton, do yourself a favor and come experience the pie of your life. On a side note, it would be great if they played "Gangnam Style" a few more times over the loudspeaker. It would really liven...
