Ace Hardware Daytona Beach — Local services in Daytona Beach

Went to the new Ace today to buy some items and saw that garden soil was on sale as I was walking in. Even though the sale price was clearly displayed on a large sign the manager refused to honor the price because they were "loosing money on it." I am not sure why this Ace would promote an item being on sale before the sale starts and then not honoring the posted price. No problem though, there is always Maddens or Ormond Ace Hardware close by.

It seems like the "owner" did not truly read my review. I stated 'that there was a large sign that was clearly displayed" The manager would not honor the price "because we are losing money" he would not even consider looking at the pallet of garden soil displayed by the front door, just a few feet away. How would I know if the garden soil was on sale without a sign? Is this gaslighting? No problem, I went to Maddens Ace Hardware on US 1 and was griping to the employee that was extremely helpful, he must have relayed my experience to his manager because while I was waiting in line to check out the manager came and offered to honor the sale price that was wrongly displayed at your store. Maybe training on customer service for ALL customers could be possible? My partner and I walked in after a gentleman and Kris Dziki did not greet my partner and I, I had to make the initial, "good morning, how you doing," I didn't even get a reply. Walking around the store, I couldn't find an item and went into the front, her and I made eye contact multiple times and another team associate asked if she could assist me, which she did. In the isle, a customer was in front of us and got a wonderful attitude of uplifting commentary and got a have a good day and come back, my partner and I didn't even get a hello, how was your shopping experience, we got a dismissive and dry, "do you have a membership" i again initiated the, "have a great day and thanks for being open."
