It be your own people that screw you over! Went to Motorcity Tunes to get a sound system installed. I have a Skar 4 channel amplifier and a Skar class D amplifier. I had my own wiring kit but they told me that it was trash and upsell me a different wiring kit which was cool because he suggested 0 gauge, and I had a four gauge amplifier kit. The owner also sold me a battery for my stereo system. This guy thinks that a (Nermak Model 12V20A) is a battery for a stereo system but it’s definitely not. Look up the part number if you like. He charged $90 for this and on Amazon it’s only $47. I definitely got scammed from him. He charge $700 for an install that was absolutely sloppy. I have pictures to prove the sloppiness. When the install was done, the car made a winning noise. He never took the courtesy to call during the install to let me know that there was issues during the installation. I go there to pick up my car to find out that the install was absolutely terrible and now I have a winning noise Coming from my speakers. The owner told me that the whining noise isn’t that bad and Skar is a cheap product. He wasn’t willing to fix the issue. He was willing to sell me a four channel amplifier to fix the issue. Absolutely poor customer service and I had to Car Tunes in Allen Park to Diagnostic issue and said that it was a very bad install. I have before and after pictures of everything. They fix the noise. They tune the amps properly. I would never shop at Motorcity Tunes ever again and they need to be shut down as...

I had a used Volkswagen Jetta with the premium fender system including four-door speakers, four tweeters, a subwoofer and an amplifier. After about a year, my speakers in the doors blew out but I went another year before trying to fix them. After looking around at different auto shops like Car Tunes in Allen Park or places in Ann Arbor, I decided to come to motor city tunes.

Anthony gave me a quote for putting some Pioneer speakers into my doors but I couldn’t come back until two weeks later. By the time I returned, he didn’t have those speakers in stock anymore. Instead, he had higher quality speakers but still honored the original quote. Super integrity move and I really appreciated that!

On 10/5/20, Anthony stood behind the original price and put the new speakers in. Immediately I could tell that my system was sounding much better.

Unfortunately, my subwoofer stopped working as well. I returned on 10/13/20, a week after they fixed my door speakers to check out some subs. Anthony recommended putting in JBLGT subwoofer. After they installed it, when I turned my radio on, I was completely blown away. The new sub sounded 10x better than my original.

At this point, I can highly recommend Motor City Tunes to my friends. I am also even considering having them install some under glow lights...

I scheduled a remote start install a month out. They took down my name, number, vehicle make, model, and sub model. I was told that they would have to order the parts because it is not a common car. Keep in mind that was 1 month before the scheduled appointment. I didn’t hear back from them. So, I called the day before to make sure that the agreed upon appointment was still set to go. They assured me over the phone that if I had an appointment then they will be ready that day. On the day of the scheduled appointment, they did not have the parts ready. Again, they had a months notice. They didn’t even know what kind of car I was bringing in or what time I was suppose to be there. They had no parts, no wiring diagrams, nothing. They ordered the parts for my car on the day that it was suppose to be installed. They had a month to get the proper parts. They had my name and number and did not even bother to contact me to try and reschedule. I was lied to twice by the same person. Perhaps they need...
