This shop is one of the best not only in terms of comic book stores but also for Decatur merchants in general. The owner/operator is one of the nicest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure of buying from and meeting. He is always reasonable with prices and will always consider things if you ask. You will always leave this place feeling like you got your moneys worth. They may not carry everything but they carry a lot of what they do have. And they have the best. The first time I came to The Comic Shop and met the owner Muncy I knew this was gonna be MY LCS💯✊ Not only phenomenal comics and toys and memorabelia but the customer service is hands down the best Ive experienced. Typically LCS owners and clerks tend to be elitest and even snobby but Muncy is the complete opposite, he never made me feel dumb for asking questions about comics and went out of his way to make sure I knew what I was buying and was happy with my purchase. I had to travel to Decatur for an appointment and while there I stumbled upon The Comic Shop. I'm so glad I stopped in, the owner was incredibly nice and friendly. I picked up some comics for myself and my kids. When I told him my kids were into Pokemon and competed in tournaments, he threw in a cool promo. He also pointed me in the direction of another gaming store in the area to check out! The shop was lovely, very organized and clean.
