Stopped here today for the first time. Initially I was quite "put off" by the gentleman manning the store. He seemed aloof and uninterested. He did eventually come around so I'm okay with him. The owners however, they have wonderful taste. Everything I was interested in was "Not For Sale" as part of the owners personal collection merely being displayed in store.

I would say that if you're looking for big pieces, curio's, dressers and the like, the prices were very reasonable for the condition of the product. We'll probably return at some point to purchase a semi-round curio.

All in all it was a very good experience and hopefully we can do business...

IF YOU ARE A MINORITY -- YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE. My partner and I are both young, visibly queer, and dress in 'alternative' clothing. After an hour of being FOLLOWED AROUND by the man working the store, we were PROFILED by him and told we 'looked like we were shoplifting' without good reason. Apparently taking your time while shopping and whispering to maintain the silence of an empty store is suspicious. That man lost the store a $70+ purchase today! I've always enjoyed this Shop. There really is something for everyone here! I have found the owners knowledgeable about most items I inquire about. The only negative I have is their prices have risen sharply over the last few years. When buying for myself, I pass on many things I would love to have. When buying for resale, I have found the market challenging to show me a proper profit. But, I return every time I'm in Defiance and can...
