My daughter purchased a dress online that needed an alteration for the upper back closure. She took the dress to Ducky's for alterations. Upon her arrival at the store, she waited for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged her. When she was being helped, the woman was quite rude to her. My daughter explained what she would like done, and the woman rudely told her she needed a bigger dress, she did not. My daughter offered to try the dress on to show her what she was referring to, and the woman told her it wasn't necessary, and the best they could do was crocheted eyelets. My daughter agreed. She later picked up the dress and was charged $20, and nothing changed. I question if they actually did any alterations. The picture is how they altered the dress. We took the dress back to see if they could do better. Again, we waited for over 10 min before anyone even acknowledged we were in the store. Yes, there were other people in the store. However, it's not hard to say hello, and we will be with you as soon as we can. Also, again, the woman working the front was very rude. Her tone was very condescending. I asked my daughter to try on the dress so we could show them the issue. The seamstress was also rude, stating she wasn't the one who did this, and the best she could do was a hook and eye closures. Which is exactly what was needed. They got the dress done for pick up the next day, and it also wasn't great work, but it was good enough. While we were picking up her dress from the second alteration, we were also there picking up my son's tux for the same wedding. The pants were too short upon trying on. I asked for them to be fixed and was told, "he could just wear them that way because it doesn't really matter." The pants were above his ankles!
Customer service is important. How you treat people is important, and how you talk to people is important. Being short staffed is not a reason to be rude.

Read moreMy husband rented a tuxedo, and I have to say that we will never return to this location. If I could give a 0 star I would. Since we arrived to this location the women who attended us was not the most polite person, and we felt that most of the time she was such rushing us to get us in and out. I admitted, my husband is a very particular person and all he was trying to do was rent something he felt satisfied and happy to wear, so he was very undecided, but the lady was not much help either. We will ask her for suggestion and felt she didn’t give much feedback. Like I said she wanted us in and out. The day we went to pick up the tuxedo, was a total disaster. My husband tried on the tuxedo and was not happy with it. He wanted to switch to regular suit pants and the lady made an iff about it. We also rented shoes which honestly I don’t know why! The shoes the lady gave my husband were all torn and the shoe lace literally looked like a dog had chewed on it. At this point I was very upset and I did tell the lady what kind of shoes is she renting out! She replied by saying those were the shoes your husband picked! Which that was a lie! Also when my husband brought the tuxedo home, the tie was never there. So ended up buying a shirt and tie for my husband last minute. I could keep on going but Il just make this message a paragraph long. Anyways this place needs to do better, not that they care or not but I myself will not...
Read moreIn short, I'd rather spend a little more at a place that has their stuff together. If you are going here for a wedding, please look at other options. Your bridal party will be FAR better with just about any other option.
My experience was with a tux. These guys have no clue how to plan. Everything they do is handwritten. If they can't read another person's handwriting there are bound to be mistakes. They don't stock enough accessories, so if you decide that you may need something at your final fitting, which will be the DAY BEFORE your event, you'll have to go somewhere else. Again, the final fitting will be the day before your event. I asked at my initial fitting when their second fitting would be, in case there were problems. I got that "deer in headlights" look and was told about their policy. So, if there's a mistake (which is likely) you're at the mercy of their inventory (which sucks).
Odd mistakes are not rare. Many names were misspelled, in spite of the fact that due to the lack of technology in the place it would be impossible for there to be a “typo”. Other, more encumbering mistakes were made. Many tuxedos were improperly sized. Someone had pants that were hemmed to different leg lengths on each side. Not all of the tuxedos that had bow ties came with studs. People were constantly talked out of suspenders, and those that insisted on getting suspenders were not able to get them on the...
