Value Village Thrift Store — Local services in Del City

Great thrift store, many different items in a broad range. The items don't seem too picked through. Organization is okay, clothes are by color and category. I can't imagine the manpower it would take to organize by size as well so not a huge issue. Prices are pretty good, but discount Thursday is awesome and really makes it worth the trip. I wish there was a calendar posted somewhere for what the deal is though (even on facebook would be nice). They have signs up saying they are going through a renovation so does that change what is on sale?

Last month they had color coded tags that were half off (but only for clothes?), this visit after I checked out everything to my pleasant surprise was discounted. I would have bought A LOT more had I not been tag searching cause their half off sign was blue, but wasn't actually notating a tag color in specific and maybe I just got a nice cashier, but it's kinda unclear. I purchased a couple of furniture items. when the man was loading the first item into my car he scratched it and I said to him we have to be careful because look you scratched my car. he proceeded to tell me that next time I could load it myself and that he was being careful! when reporting it to the manager he informed me that the general manager was in and took me back to speak with him the general manager informed me that he overheard the conversation and that he did have a talk with the employee about speaking to customers that way. This has to be the most unfriendliness store. I have been going off and on for over a year now to this location just because of the options they have, its certainly not because of the customer service. I went in today to see if they had any sofa tables, I spotted one and they wanted 300$ for something scratched up and looking rough. It would have Been a project to bring it back to life. I could seriously buy a new one for less.There has never been anyone that has ever said i hello,hi,thank you or anything. They all look miserable. It would be nice to be greeted.
