Customer service is nice, but the machines, the music, the fans were all ridiculously loud, the employees had to shout over them just for us to hear them. They have so many machines packed into this tiny place, I think they’re stretching themselves too thin with the amount of stuff they offer. It felt like they were still in the process of preparing to open while we were there, empty boxes on the floor, machines not even running or being worked on. Fuses blew about 3 times within the 10 minutes we were inside, lights, machines, music and the tv shutting off. We couldn’t even enjoy our time inside and had to leave by the third blown out fuse. The frozen coffee was far from frozen, basically water. The “cupcake” pieces that you can add on were frozen solid pieces wrapped in frosting I’m assuming. Which would’ve been nice to know prior, as my daughter tried to bite it and hurt her teeth thinking it was an actual cupcake piece… Cookie dough pieces were about the same. We were excited to find a new ice cream place near our house and sadly didn’t get the best first impression, won’t be returning...
Read moreThe atmosphere and service were five star, but the snowcones themselves were unfortunately really disappointing in my first/only experience so far. We spent over $20 on four snowcones and only the specialty snowcone was juicy. I always order extra syrup wherever I go cause it seems like inflation has caused many snowcone stands to go extra skimpy on the syrup. Even with paying for extra syrup on mine, I got less syrup than I’ve ever gotten anywhere and I’ve had some pretty dry snowcones before.
This snowcone was white on the top within just two minutes or less and my ice formed as one big chunk rocking side to side in the cup. The people were GREAT, great attitudes, great conversation, great service. I mighty give this place one more shot, but it really was very surprising and disappointing. If I’m paying for more, I don’t understand why places won’t just give more. Some people like a very syrupy, sloshy snowcone lol.
Also this picture was taken after just a couple bites off the top, no sucking through the straw whatsoever. It looked like I sucked all...
Read moreHOLD THE PHONE! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE FOUND IN THE OKC METRO FOR SNOW CONES!
My husband and I have lived in OKC the majority of our lives. We moved away for a few years and came back to find that most of our old fave snow cone places were subpar.
We decided to try Polar Rush after both MWC Tasty Snow locations let us down. We found better pricing ($5 for 2 snow cones during happy hour, rather than $15 at Tasty Snow), strong flavoring, a ton of sugar free options AND fast turn around time. To boot, when we showed up in a complete downpour, we were offered rain ponchos! Hell yeah, brother!
Pro tip: If you get a sugar free snow cone, try adding a little cream. It helps improve the consistency. I can highly, highly recommend the butterbeer + cream. That might be my...
