** as I’m seeing this on a fb post.. it was really upsetting This daycare should be shut down and everyone should know exactly where they’re sending their child. This daycare DOES NOT care about the well fare of your child. Coaching a teacher does not make it ok to grip up a child by their neck, leave a child alone in a dark room, or not wipe a child. This is my 2nd review because this place should be shut down. They claim they let the state know but guess what I still haven’t heard anything from the state regarding my daughter left alone in a room by herself at 1 years old because they forgot her. ——————————————————————————
I witnessed a teacher at my daughter’s daycare grip up a child by the coat under his neck with one hand, lifted him up against the wall and then take him into the classroom.
The child who this happened to supposedly has behavioral issues but at the moment was doing nothing wrong. The teacher admitted she gripped him up and said it was in “different context”. I was an eye witness, as well as another teacher meanwhile the teacher is still there working. She even said she was calm when she did this, which baffles me even more that she felt that behavior necessary for a 3 year old.
We were told there was an internal investigation and it was reported accordingly. But the internal investigation came up “unfounded” and that the teacher need “coaching” not grounds for termination. 🤦
When this happened we specifically said we did not want this person anywhere near our daughter especially since she’s not her teacher and given the situation you would think that wouldn’t be an issue. We were told they could come up with a system to try and see if that works and that lasted about a week. Now apparently the safety of our daughter is too much to guarantee and it’s just too difficult.
They said they can’t tell the teacher to stay away from our daughter and they can’t stop her if she goes near her because it’s against their policy. And I feel like since I reported this she’s intentionally gone near my daughter more and more. It sounds like a bunch of HR B.S that the facility is hiding behind.
They told us today that we could either just hope nothing happens or withdraw our daughter. Instead of hold your employees accountable and prevent things like this from ever happening to anyone. I no longer have any trust in this facility’s ability.
The worst part is that our daughter loves her teacher and has a bunch of friends. She loves going there. But unfortunately she is the one being penalized over this situation. __ My review so everyone can see again what a horrible daycare this is.
If I could give this daycare -000 stars I would. I think everyone should be aware of where they are sending their children! My daughter attended LightBridge Academy in Delran for 5 months at 1 1/2 years old. My Fiancé went to get her bookbag at the end of the day and found my daughter in the dark classroom by herself. The teachers condense the rooms at the end of the day and forgot to count her when they were leaving. When he went into the room where the teachers were "looking" for her, they were looking around the room like "where is she". If that's not alarming, I don't know what is. When I approached the director and assistant director, they stared at me for 10 mins with a stupid look on their face with nothing to say besides the teacher was fired. That wasn't enough for me. How do you leave a 1 1/2 year old child alone for over 8 mins-- do you know what could've happened to her. They also wouldn't let us see the cameras of when she was alone in the room, claiming they don't record. I come from a security background and know those cameras had a DVR hooked up and record for insurance purposes. The state was supposedly contacted, but I have yet to hear anything from them about this incident. Also, the only accommodation we received was "free cameras" for a year. ** if you would like to read the rest of my review...

Well those free cameras mean nothing. I went on after the incident, just checking in on my daughter and see she's about to get a diaper change. The teacher had her STANDING next to the "blacked out" diaper changing table and proceeded to pull her diaper off - NOT WIPE HER - and put a new diaper on her. I thought I was going crazy UNTIL I continued watching and saw her do the same thing to the next 3 children waiting to get a diaper change. I called the school immediately and their solution was to tell the teacher that "that's not protocol" and "don't do that again" What I wanted to know was "does that teacher wipe herself when she goes to the bathroom and why isn't my child being wiped properly" I didn't get an answer to that.
The owner was never around for a formal sit down meeting, all she said was "sorry" in the hallway when I was picking up my daughter. She was always "out of the country" "on vacation" when I requested a meeting.
Needless to say my daughter was pulled out of this daycare ASAP. It makes it hard to trust "big name" daycares now!
They make it look great during the tour and to your face but the saying is true "you never know what happens behind closed doors"
I wish our experience was better and pray this never happens to another...
Read moreAs parents who have no prior experience with daycare or schools for kids, we had lots of worries. Being the protective mom that I was, I was never too excited or keen with the idea of having our son go, so we waited until he was a year and a half. My husband and I agreed that it is about time as he needs to learn to socialize as well. We searched and looked for the right school or a care provider and eventually found Lightbridge Academy at Delran, NJ. They eased all our worries, answered all our questions, excellent staff, even great walkthrough! Everything was on point. They also have cameras where you can check in on your little one whenever you wish. In such a short time, our son showed amazing progress. This is coming from a boy who is exclusively BF and only sleeps with mommy, rarely with daddy and is very dependent on being latched. Like any kid, in the beginning, he showed attachment issues and cries at drop off. The teachers and the staff are so on point that they make sure to find ways to divert his attention and engaged with him. He took a very little time to adjust, and before we knew it, he loved spending every single day with his classmates, teacher, and learning the activities. He would come home a happy kid, and when we do our own activities at home, he continues to surprise us. In fact, one day, he came home and just started showing hand movements to certain songs that he loves to interact to! This is all thanks to the excellent curriculum, patience of the teachers & staff, and how well they manage the facility.
Recently we had to move out, and Lightbridge Academy at Delran, NJ had us so spoiled that we were hoping to find the same care that they provided us. To date, we are still looking. Believe it or not, my husband and I can’t stop wishing that there’s a Lightbridge Academy here out west. Nothing can compare. I promise you when I say this, and it is NOT an exaggeration at all … it is not easy to find a school or daycare that will provide the love, care, AND ALSO include your child’s learning as part of their priority. Some will simply be a place for your kids to stay at like a playground, which is what we realized the hard way. With Lightbridge Academy at Delran, NJ, you get to have it all and more!
If you are in the area and are considering them for your kids, don’t think twice about it. Highly recommended from our...
