Mattress Firm Delran — Hotel in Delran Township

I went to the Mattress Firm store a few miles from me in Delran, NJ. I was greeted by a polite gentleman, who introduced himself as Giovanni. After about 1/2 hour, I chose a mattress and told Giovanni that I had one more store to go to before I made a decision. He asked me where I was going and assured me that he could beat any of their prices and have the mattress delivered the next day. Of course, being the saleswoman that I am, I politely challenged him with a smile. Shortly thereafter, I made my purchase (to include pillows and an adjustable frame) and went about my day.

About an hour or so later, I received a phone call from Giovanni. He profusely apologized and stated that he had done further research on the mattress I had chosen, Hampton and Rhodes Hana, and found it was not suitable for an adjustable bed. Now, I must tell you that prior to my leaving the store, he checked to make sure that the mattress was suitable for the adjustable bed.I was sitting right there when he checked. Honestly, I was disappointed and frustrated. You must understand that I was born with a curved tailbone. I had purchased a new bed a little over a year ago, but have been waking up in pain since then. I asked Giovanni if he was absolutely sure that mattress wasn't going to work and he was quite confident having check two additional sources to confirm the information.

Despite my frustration, I went back to the store to determine if I was going to give up the adjustable frame or choose a new mattress. When I arrived, Giovanni greeted me and apologized again. We looked at alternative options and I asked him if he had another mattress that was adjustable, but similar to the Hana that I had chosen. He directed me to the Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Signature Select Ashaway 11" Plush Mattress and I was pleasantly surprised that it felt very similar to the Hana.

Too often, consumers complain about the salesperson, but we don't often sing their praises. Giovanni didn't have to double check to ensure the Hana mattress would work with the frame that I purchased. He trusted his gut and not only double, but triple checked. Because of Giovanni's pro-activity, I went home with a smile on my face and delivery was still able to be made the next day.

This past Friday, August 30, 2024 my husband and I purchased the below two products from Mattress Firm in Delran, NJ: Sleepy's By Sealy Memory Foam Medium Mattress Full Prime and Sleepy's Signature Adjustable Base Adjustable Full Prime. Our experience in the store with the salesman Lovinder was as expected, meaning that Lovinder was courteous, professional and knowledgeable about the products we asked about and was able to answer any questions/concerns we had about the products and delivery. When we first walked in he was finishing up with a customer; however, he took the time to acknowledge our presence, by greeting us and letting us know he would be with us once he finished up with his customer. Many times we walk into an establishment and salesman/women don’t take the time to do that. That’s unfortunate because I’ve walked out of business because of this seemingly small oversight when my purpose for being there was to make a purchase. I wonder if businesses were able to track these metrics how much lost to sales would this gesture add to their sales? Anyway, I digress, Lovinder was all that you would expect in a salesman and we would return to the facility in delran to conduct business with him the next time we need a mattress. We can’t say much about the mattress and how it sleeps because it’s been too soon but I have laid on it after it completed its inflation and it feels good; however, we would need to sleep on it and hear family and friends feedback before providing more on how the mattress feels sleeping on it. Facing the daunting task of mattress shopping, I decided to head to the local Mattress Firm to persue my hopes of procuring a quality purchase that would satisfy my sleeping needs. Upon arrival to the store, I was warmly greeted by a professional and personable manager who kindly introduced herself as Andrea. I proceeded to explain to Andrea the difficult quest burdened upon me, as well as the complexities I faced in the search for the elusive "perfect mattress". Without even a hint of faltering upon learning of my journey, Andrea quickly soothed my doubts and worries of this purchase with her exquisite professionalism. I was shown numerous models and was given an custom showing of the top quality products in the store. She worked tirelessly to make sure I was comfortable with both my mattress and the price. With the patience of a saint, Andrea helped me to complete my journey, all the while remaining poised and caring even when faced with my incessant questions and indecisiveness. I love my mattress and I truly couldnt have gotten to this point without the complete assistance and utter attention to details of Andrea.
