I go there from time to time. Never had problem with anyone. This time I go to make a purchase and the gentleman with glasses gave me a hard time saying they don't accept cards without chips, I never heard of this. So I decided to use my samsung pay and he still refused saying its against the store policy. His concerned was they get charged backs. You can get a charge back even with a chip card. Very rude. He should not be working at the store. Never had a problem with anyone there.
As to your response, I was never rude to you. I was actually extremely polite, I never once raised my voice to you, never once said anything negative. I did ask the clerk you why you were raising your voice. That is all I said. If you felt offended by that, you should not be working in customer service industry. As for the 2 ladies that were there, I am not interested in there opinion. If you have the cameras and audio, please by all means you should listen to it, or have your partners review it. Your main and only concern was a charge back, as you said you have had a lot of customers purchase items then have it charged back on there credit card. I gave you my credit card for a $8.00 purchase along with my license as you requested. But since my card did not carry a chip you wounot accept it. Tried to pay with my phone ( Samsung Pay) which is very secured and you would not accept it. I have purchased from in the past using my phone. Your only concern was making sure you would not get a charge back. Having a chip card does not guarantee you not having charge back. Just a little FYI. You are just plain rude!! I even asked if I could look at the merchandise and he said no. I was the only one in the store and the merchandise was right by the counter he was standing behind. He wanted me to pick merchandise from a distance so that he could bring it to me and stand over me while I evaluated…repeatedly.
Ridiculous and really bad for business. I had already picked out one item from one of the “allowed” aisles to shop and wanted to buy a couple of other things, but I found it all so “big brother” and distrustful that I left the store and decided to never buy from this store. The sad part is that I could have bought online, but decided to buy local and he ruined it for me. After I decided what I was interested in, I went up and met CARRIE. She assisted me with the pricing of a particular item. She asked if she could recommend an item to me. I said absolutely. She took me over, showed me, explained, and gave her opinion. I can say, 200%, she knows what she is talking about and she fully steered me into the right direction.
