We had been wanting to visit an Ollie's since we moved here, but unfortunately, we chose the worst location (Denton) for our first experience. The manager or supervisor was directly responsible for everything that went wrong.
We were first in line, and a gentleman came in and cut the line to return some items. Sadly, the cashier had multiple problems trying to help this man and had to call the manager for assistance. The line began to build, but she just punched in a code and walked away. Still, the lone cashier attempted to fix the situation, but had to call the manager again.
This time, the manager called another cashier to come up front, but still just put in a code and walked off. The new cashier took register #4, but customers were all lined up to #1. The people behind us got helped while we continued to wait for cashier #1. In the mean time, cashier #1 called the manager up again, still unable to help the gentleman with his return. Instead of staying to help, the manager puts in a code again and starts to walk away.
We stopped her and said, "there's a whole cartfull of stuff - we're leaving." and walked out. Again, the whole situation was a direct result of poor supervision and management. We will not be coming back to...
Read moreI had an unpleasant experience at the Denton Ollie’s location on Friday, July 18th, due to the unprofessional conduct of an employee named Christina. The store already had long lines and a tense atmosphere, but the situation escalated when an item I picked up wasn’t priced. The checkout employee requested a price check from Christina, who responded with visible annoyance and made no effort to hide her frustration.
Feeling like I was an inconvenience just for asking a basic question, I told the cashier I no longer wanted the item. When the price check was canceled, Christina shouted “WOW” loudly across the store. I asked what the “wow” was for, and instead of diffusing the situation, Christina began complaining further—still loudly and publicly.
No one at the register stepped in to apologize or de-escalate, and it wasn’t until I said I’d be leaving without making any purchases that Christina shouted again, this time, “She could have said that when I was at the register.”
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any retail setting. Being treated like a burden for needing a price check left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed. I will not return to...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting this store I usually go to the Ollies in Lewisville Tx How ever. The store is well organized than the one in Lewisville Tx and this help me to shop better. The items in the Advertisement paper were right on the shelves. The only problem I had was with during check out time. The Guy name Noah was extremely rude. He snatched my Ice drinks as he was scanning my items and acted as if I was bothering him. From that stand point I WILLNOT go back to the Ollies in DENTON TX! As for the Manager's be careful who you hire to cashier for your store. Because if he would have mess up and dropped those drinks on my foot. That wouldn't been good. Nevertheless the store itself was great! Just a Rude Cashier worker Name NOAH was...
