I am extremely disappointed with my experience trying to get a wedding band. The staff was friendly, but the communication was horrible and I ultimately got no band and lost the warranty on my engagement ring.

Four weeks before we left for our destination wedding, we came here searching for rings. My husband found one that worked perfectly, and I settled on a simple band that would be molded to fit beside by engagement ring. We spoke to not one but two different staff members regarding this process and our wedding date. They both agreed the date was fast approaching, but they could make it work and complete the work in 3 weeks, all I had to do was leave my engagement ring for them to work with.

Over 3 weeks went by, and there was no news. I finally called and asked how the process was going, just to be told they haven't even made the mold for the ring and there was no way it would be completed in time. Despite speaking in length during the consultation about when we left and how they could get it done, neither wrote down when we needed the ring. To say I was heartbroken is an understatement. They apologized and offered to clean the ring before we left and I agreed, saying I would pick it up the day before I left (5 days later)

When I showed up 40 minutes before they closed, I expected to just walk in, grab my ring, and leave. I was horrified to learn that during the process of cleaning it, one of my sapphires came off. I am not sure when the cleaning was done or when it came out, but they didn't let me know until I physically came to pick it up. They offered to fix it, and since we left the next morning I had no choice but to say yes (instead of taking it to the shop where it was still under warranty). The prongs holding the sapphire were replaced, showing a subtle but noticable difference, and this work has voided the lifetime warranty that I had...

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a jewelry store like this in my life. I needed to have a ring sized that had an opal set in the band. I had inquired with several jewelers, every jeweler I called said I needed to see the ring to confirm they would be able to do the job. Owen Jewelry Design asked me to send pictures. This was wonderful! Not only do I live a half hour away from any of the jewelers I had contacted; making this endeavor an hour task at least in itself, but I have difficulty leaving my home. Upon entering the store I was greeted with a friendly smile and genuine care to help. Since I had sent them pictures previously, I knew they would be able to size the ring and the appropriate cost, but I also brought along other pieces I had questions about. Ashley who had been my first point of contact on the phone was now helping me in store. She identified each of the pieces of jewelry I brought in as “a treasure”. To these folks at Owen Jewelry Design the value of a piece of jewelry is not the monetary value, they see its value in its beauty and in the sentimental value to the client. Ashley gave me a time frame for the ring to be done letting me know because of the holiday it might take longer. They exceeded my expectations in getting it done sooner. When I went to go pick it up, I told the gentleman it was a gift and he placed it in a beautiful ring box, then in another box, and in a gift bag. The cost of changing the size of the ring was less than $120 (I also had it engraved), they made me feel like I had spent thousands. I have found myself a jeweler who treats you like you should be. I’m so glad we did business here. My husband and I were 18 when we got married 4.5 years ago and my wedding ring was a small promise ring with a band added to it the day before we got married. We talked many times about upgrading but as a young new family in the Marine corps it just wasn’t the right time. We accidentally lost it at the beach last summer (yes, we) and I was devastated of course. We went shopping around the next day and couldn’t commit to anything. We did more looking and shopping around a few months later and still couldn’t love what other companies were coming up with. We went back at it in March and checked out Owens and they got to it right away. I already had an idea of what I wanted and I showed them and a few days later I was getting emails of what they have come up with. About a month into designing we had something come up financially and talked to them about getting a lab grown instead of mined like we were wanting and had no issues with the change. I also had a last minute change of wanting a different band instead of matching and got to it right away and sent me emails of the band to go with.
