As I prepared to get the gears turning on proposing to my girlfriend, naturally I didn't know exactly where to start. I had been offered a precious heirloom from girlfriend's family, so I knew I needed to take this diamond to a place that would handle it with the care it deserved. I ended up visiting Steve Pronko's and I am sure glad I did. My experience with Steve Pronko's, more specifically a woman named Laura, made the entire experience one I won't forget and one I would recommend to anyone. She assured me from the very start that we would make sure my girlfriend (now fiancé) would end up with something she loved. It began with a secret visit between Laura and I where we discussed our options, and I gave her an idea about what styles my eventual fiancée would like. A few days later, my then girlfriend and I visited the store, and Laura played it off as if we never met, which was a really fun experience and helped add to the surprise for my fiancé. Laura's expertise and professionalism was a marvel. Her ability to read my girlfriend's body language when looking at settings made me confident that I made the right choice in choosing to work with Pronko's. After checking out many settings, we appeared to find the right one and we went on our way. A few days later, I returned with the family heirloom diamond, purchased the setting, and sent it off to be worked on. Roughly 5 weeks later, Laura notified me that it was ready, and it turned out amazingly. You can tell the work was done by true professionals, and it was amazing to see how this diamond, which once belonged to a vintage setting, was given new life in something my girlfriend would love. The vintage setting also contained a pair of baguette diamonds, which Laura informed me can be made into earrings. I took her up on that and within a few more weeks, this entire family heirloom became a new ring and a beautiful pair of earrings. The previous owner of these diamonds was someone very special to my fiancée, so she loves that she can remain with her in this way. We absolutely love how everything turned out. My fiancée and I showed up to Steve Pronko based on recommendation to shop for engagement rings. We met Laura and she was so extremely helpful in allowing my fiancée to discover what style she wanted. Laura pulled endless options, allowed my fiancée to try on everything under the sun, made us feel welcome and heard, and never had us feeling like we were being sold on something. Laura was a dream. We felt like we could trust her and that she wanted the best for us. We left knowing I would return to pick out the real thing and that we didn’t need to explore any other shops. When I did return to Laura, she helped me to finalize the details, including bringing some of my custom ideas to life! Fantastic service! I had two pocket watches to be engraved, one for my son and one for myself. I took them to Pronko's because of their legendary service and the fact they're locally owned and operated.

They did not disappoint!

Initially, there was an issue with the engraving. The watches did not fit in the traditional engraving machine and so the laser engraver was used. The wrong font was accidentally applied and the laser look was not at all what I was looking for.

Laura at Pronko's assured me she would rectify the issue and she did! She replaced the watch, found a hand engraver (a dying art) and the results are above and beyond my expectations! My son and myself were absolutely thrilled with the reaults! They are absolutely beautiful!

Not many places these days will even admit an error, let alone go above and beyond to correct it. Laura at Pronko's is a consummate professional and and was exhaustive in her search for a resolution to our situation!

I cannot say enough about her willingness to help, courtesy and knowledge! What could have been a harrowing experience, instead became an absolute joy and has made a life-long customer of myself and my family.
