DO NOT GO TO THE HAIR ROOM! I had the worst hair customer service of my life! Dezi is VERY NASTY AND RUDE! Here’s my experience everyone! On your website you say you are open from 10 am - 6 pm and that is advertised on Google as well. I made a consultation appointment with you on 9/27/24 for 10/31/24 from 10:15 am - 10:30 for a wig consultation. This consultation was made more than a month out and paid for. On 10/31/24 when I called you at 10:13 regarding my appointment your tone with me was not friendly nor welcoming. So I thought hey she might be having a bad day and waited until 10:30 for you to arrive and when you did arrive you treated me badly. You argued that I booked a extension install which I did not. Why would I book that if my reason for coming to you was a wig. Also, if I booked that I would have been charged for 2 separate appointments. Which I was not because I only booked one (as you stated in your prior Google review comments you make people schedule/book appointments for a reason). I did not even get serviced due to her bad customer service skills. You need to learn how to talk to your customers and treat them better if you want to stay in business ! I understand you run a business and people need to respect your process and procedures you have in place. But when you do not abide by them and treat customers the way you treated me it is very unacceptable. Also the customers that you provide business have a job as well. You treated me a customer with no care or consideration!...

I had a very painful and concerning experience at this salon. During my visit, the owner shampooed and conditioned my hair extremely roughly, using her long acrylic nails to aggressively scratch my scalp. She then detangled and combed through my hair harshly and ran a rat tail comb through my hair, pulling painfully at my strands without care and scratching my scalp with the brush. Not to mention, she burned my scalp through my silk press with the flat iron, causing ongoing pain and inflammation.

It’s now been hours since the appointment and my scalp is still burning and inflamed and I have extreme headache.

As someone who values proper hair care, especially for type 4 textured hair, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone concerned about scalp and hair health or gentle handling. Not to mention the cost for the silk press was $175, but I was charged 190 because it was raining outside and I came 16 minutes late.

Please get more training to handle clients with more care and professionalism. No one should leave a salon in pain...

DO NOT BUY ! I usually don’t give 1 star reviews but this company deserved it. I have been buying hair bundles for years. I usually shop at Her imports but they are having supply chain issues in store. So I decided to try the Hair Room. I drove 1 hour to the location in district heights MD. I purchased a bundle of 20” 22” and 24” inch hair. I washed and installed it. Literally within minutes it TANGLED and MATTED so bad. THIS HAIR IS PROCESSED AND IS NOT VIRGIN. This hair is soo IRRITATING to the scalp because there are literally THOUSANDS of 3 inch strands of hair coming from the base of the wefts that constantly poke the scalp. Especially when I wrap my hair at night. I’m super disappointed in the quality of the hair. If you buy this hair and are unsatisfied with the hair you are stuck with it. THIS COMPANY WILL NOT DO A THING TO ACCOMMODATE YOU. How do I know this? Because I called and they told me there is nothing they can do. LONG STORY SHORT INVEST IN QUALITY...
