I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering from a Jamaican restaurant that I had high hopes for, but my order proved to be nothing short of a culinary disaster. From the moment I placed my order, the red flags were waving. First off, the customer service was excruciatingly poor when I called to inquire on the soup (which I really needed). When I attempted to ask about the soup options, I was told curtly that it wasn’t available on the UberEats menu. This was frustrating as I had seen it listed in their offerings prior to ordering. It felt like I was talking to a wall; no effort was made to accommodate my request or explain why it wasn’t available. Instead, I was met with indifference. Alas, the issues didn’t stop there. I specifically stated NO gravy when placing my order. It’s a simple enough request, especially considering how many people dislike their food drenched in sauce. Yet, when my order arrived, it was swimming in a pool of gravy that completely overpowered the flavors of the dish. It was a shockingly blatant oversight that left me bewildered and disappointed. To make matters worse, I discovered that I didn’t even receive all of my order. After eagerly waiting to dig into my meal, I found myself shortchanged. It was as if the restaurant had decided to play a cruel game of “guess what you didn’t get.” Missing items ( no drink, no rice for my overpriced brown stew snapper) can happen, of course, but the lack of attention to detail and care for the customer was palpable. In summary, my experience with this Jamaican restaurant was nothing short of a nightmare. Poor customer service, inability to accommodate special requests, and incomplete orders resulted in a truly frustrating encounter. I left with no desire to return, feeling cheated out of both my money and my time. If you’re looking for an enjoyable dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This establishment surely has a long way to go in order to improve.

I have been coming here for years and used to love the old management before it became Caribbean Grill. Tonight was my last straw. The food quality has been down the drain for some time, but because I had a positive relationship for years, I kept ordering. I did an Uber Eats tonight and they did not include my brown stew chicken order. A simple apology would do, but guess what I got? I called and asked how it could be fixed and long story short some ratchet woman yells that humans make mistakes and hung up on me. Your food tastes American, and then you add the disrespect? I called back and spoke with the manager who then tried to correct me for expressing my disappointment with her disrespect as she continues to talk trash in the background. This is not an alley, where you pick fights with customers for your mistakes. This is supposed to be a restaurant with caribbean food that tastes good and authentic and respectful customer service. Caribbean Grill is like a local Chinese Carryout now. UberEats took care of my refund but as I expressed to the manager, who did not seem to care, they have lost a loyal customer. I have ordered $100+ meals from them before, used them for catering and more, always tipped well and always showed love and respect, trying to support a local business, even with their shortcomings. I've brought so many people to their business throughout the years. I'll circulate my support and money somewhere else. You may think you lost one customer, but you've lost the support of that 1 customer who was making a difference in your business. You never know who is walking through your door,...

So my son and my daughter-in-law came home from the Navy and surprise me, I was still working and it was the middle of the day so I couldn't cook for them, they were deployed in Hawaii where there is no Jamaican food, and they long for their mother's cooking, so I sent them to this place to get some food that they were deeply missing, they drove all the way from Oxon Hill to Marlboro Pike to get this food, they came home and started eating, my daughter-in-law said this food taste funny then I started eating my Ackee and rice and peas and realize that the rice was spoiled, my daughter-in-law curry goat was spoiled so I called the store to let them know the food was spoiled and I was very upset, eventually we took the food back, the dark skin young lady who claimed she was the manager seemed annoyed and upset with me because some of the food was eaten out, of course some of the food was eaten out, we were eating when we found out the food was spoiled, although she returned some of my money she totally ignore the fact that the food was spoiled. so as for me and my family we will surely never eat there again, we don't want to be poisoned by spoiled food, but I hope you have a great experience. as far as the appearance of the store it looks very clean the guys seem very friendly although the young lady seem to have an attitude, don't think she has great customer service skills she seems very angry and probably should not work in the front to deal with the customers.. also they talk about people when they leave the store to the other customers.😔...

My experience at the Caribbean Grill was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was inviting, with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. I particularly enjoyed the Jerk Chicken with rice and peas and cabbage dish, which was cooked to perfection. The presentation was impeccable, and it was evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The menu had a great variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Overall, my visit to the Caribbean Grill Jamaican restaurant was delightful, and I can't wait to return! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a culinary adventure.

Disclaimer: this review is solely based on a takeout order. So, the first few words that immediately comes to mind are massive portions and affordable. For my introductory meal to Caribbean Grill, I decided on the Goat Roti. In my opinion, the Goat Roti was basically two servings, which was approximately $15 (a win). As it relates to taste, for me, I was expecting a little bit my flavoring and succulent-ness (lol I know it's not a word) of the goat with more potatoes on the inside of the roti. But overall, it was okay. I will definitely be open to trying another dish (when I am in the area) to make another assessment of the Caribbean Grill.

I spilled into this place after being disappointed by another dining spot nearby and instantly felt relaxed by the calm environment. I’m Jamaican so I also felt right at home, but still skeptical about getting that “down home” taste like my Mom makes...so this time my Hubbie and I got 2 chicken patties and coco breads to give them a try...had to eat on the go because we lost time at another place before coming here, so I wasn’t able to take pics of it but it was good. We especially liked that they also offered vegetable patties too. I’ll definitely go back for another one or maybe even try a roti.
