I ride by this spot all the time, & I always see someone going in, or coming out. I wanted to find out what they were hittin on, so I bucked a U, & pulled up!! Good folks, I found a gem 💎!! LET’S GO!! . Where I am: @dlcaribbeancuisine . Location Reviewed: 6332 Marlboro Pike, District Heights M.D. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Fried Chicken Platter ($14.50 with fried chicken, rice & peas with goat gravy, & cabbage). Ok with the curry goat sauce on the rice n peas…STAMP!! Crispy well seasoned fried chicken, & DELICIOUS cabbage!!

STAMP!! Their Brown Stew Platter ($14.50 with Brown Stew chicken, rice & peas with brown stew gravy, & cabbage). Sweet, savory, meaty, even the gravy on the rice made the rice STAMPED!! Best Brown Stew in the area!!

STAMP!! Their Bourbon Wings ($12 for 6 bourbon sauced glazed wings). Thoroughly cooked, & superbly glazed!!

STAMP!! Their Jerk Chicken ($14.50 jerked chicken, with rice & peas, & cabbage). Not too spicy well cooked jerk chicken, the plain rice n peas, & cabbage were DELICIOUS…I should put that jerk sauce on these!!

DELICIOUS. Their Salmon Rasta Pasta ($19.50 with glazed salmon, penne pasta, peppers, & Alfredo sauce). This was good, I needed the noodles creamier, & the salmon with some more seasoning.

STAMP!! The Drinks ($4 each, their housemade mango juice, & passionfruit juice). Both of these had a slight ginger taste, & were refreshing!!

STAMP!! Their Jerk Lamb (they found out who I was, & they gave me a sample). Meaty, spicy, & well cooked!! . Customer Service: You give good energy, you get it, you give bad energy…you get serviced!! . Parking: Rough. . Recommendations: Get anything JERK!! . Accessibility: It’s is wheelchair friendly, & it’s differently abled persons friendly.

You ever go somewhere and you smile while spending your money? This is the place where that happens. You enjoy spending your money at D&L cause it feels like home. There’s cleanliness, love/personality/genuineness and they pay attention to their patrons.

Food-

We’ve tried the escovitch snapper, jerk chicken, Rasta pasta, and the oxtails. We’ve patronized enough to be able to write a review about the food. Simply delicious! Fresh! Full portions. Large portions to have enough left over for lunch the next day. I really enjoy that my food tastes and looks fresh! And the pricing is decent— very affordable! I’m used to going to some other Caribbean restaurants and hearing “we’re out of oxtails” or “we’re out of snapper.” Not once have I come to D&L and heard those words. I appreciate that whatever I order is always in stock.

Service-

The husband and wife team are superb. Great attitudes and they remember me. They care. My husband is a little picky and likes the peppers and onions for his fish on the side. They never give me a hassle about it and are always willing to accommodate.

Atmosphere-

My pictures is of my Jerk Pork and Sweet and sour chicken. For a real authentic born Jamaican I normally try food all over but and not always happy with many but the Jerk Pork is always done how I like it. The staff and owner is always will to work with you and they will create menus to accommodate customers as well. Not even restaurants will try the things they do like Pork whether Jerk or stew Pork. They are always open to stepping outside the box to create a menu and take customer feedback very important.

I have eat so much food from here whether I stop in or by UberEats. So happy with the service as the food remembers me of our food back home in Jamaica. Sometimes I order more than once per day as they may have different things I like. I love the goat soup, red peas soup with cow foot, sweet and sour chicken, jerk and stew pork. We have tried there peanut porridge that was so good hope that returns soon and there dumpling and banana. Happy the day I discovered this place and happy that they continue to grow there menu.
