Its not that I dislike the store itself, its just I've had some bad experiences with some of the employees at checkout. I went into the store last night, Oct 26th, to pick up a few items for my son and my daughter. I proceeded to the first checkout lane and placed my items on the belt. The woman at the register did not seem very pleasant. I am on the gov program Wic and placed those items first. I could tell that the woman didn't looked pleased that i had these items. I also had to ask if they had the formula i needed that is included in the program and she them let out a big sigh saying she had to call the manager for it , like it was a big inconvenience for her. After i handed her the second check for the formula, she asked, slightly annoyed, "Is that all?". I politely said yes, and continued to place the rest of my things on the belt. The manager returned with the formula and I said thank you and he just stood by watching her complete my transactions. She continued to be in a rushed hough as she processed the checks. She then asked for my Wic folder which has my signature on it so she could compare them, and I turned it to the wrong page and she rudely said, " That's not the signature page." I apologized and found the right page, meanwhile the manager just stood and watched this all take place. After we finally finished with my Wic items, She rang up the rest of my items and I payed her with a large bill my husband gave me for the rest of groceries. It was all I had, She seemed to be more annoyed at this gesture because I had just used Wic to pay for the food for my son. She had to step away to another register to see if it was real and had this pained look on her face like I was troubling her, like i had done it on purpose. I assure you it was not my intention. She returned to her register and processed the amount and gave me my change and said nothing else, the manager said nothing as well. As I let with my nine year old and my 11 month old son who also witnessed this event, I said thank you and have a nice night, and all I received was a non gracious head nod. I know that the store is employee owned and operated, but that is no cause to treat the people who pay you like they annoy you. If you don't like to work around people why chose to help people? This i don't understand. I'm sorry if I was an inconvenience, or if you found my methods of payments a pain, but it is your job to helpful and considerate to those of who keep you in business and keep you employed. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience with one of the checkout clerks, but hopefully it will...
Read moreI was hungry. They sell food. I thought this would be a good place to buy food. I had money. That was a good thing because they don't give their food away for free. So low and behold everything worked out and I bought some food. Some of it was good. I don't know if all of it was good because I was real hungry and bought a lot of food. So now I have food for tomorrow. This is good so I don't have to go out and get food tomorrow. I have a refrigerator. This works out well. I can put my extra food in it until tomorrow. This will keep it fresh. Refrigerators are expensive. I'm glad I could get one. Every one should get one. They come in different sizes. So if you're like me and get hungry and buy too much food you have a place to keep it. If not it will go bad. You shouldn't eat bad food. I think I did a few times . This made me sick. Sometimes a lot , sometimes a little bit. Renders has stuff to fix that also. Pretty neat right? So anyway I like Renders. I go there a lot. I always have a good time when I go there. Some people get mad when they have to go there. Not me . No way. Every day is like an adventure. I like to make people smile. I make people smile at Renders. Mostly though I like the food at Renders. I like their sub sandwiches. That's what I bought. It tasted good. Did I mention that I was hungry? Yep, was. Thanks to Renders I'm not hungry anymore. Well them and my money. I also bought potato salad. They have a lot of different kinds. It was hard to choose which one to get,but I did. I settled for the Pennsylvania potato salad. I guess it's imported since this store is in Delaware. I was in Pennsylvania earlier today. I was hiking. Maybe that's why I was hungry. So Renders was a good place to get good food for a good price that...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with some of the customer service at this store today. The prices were good, customer service at the deli was great, and the store was well stocked, but the self checkout was frustrating (and yes, I am accustomed to using self checkout - use it often at Wal-Mart). After dealing with difficulty scanning several items, I requested assistance. The young lady who assisted was arrogant, somewhat rude, and stand- offish. She suggested that it was my fault that some items didn't scan properly or at all, that is until she had the same issues, then she said it was because they were working on the system. When I pointed out to her that she had scanned a couple of items several times and that I was incurring multiple duplicate charges for said items, she did correct them, but appeared very annoyed to have to do so. Shopping at Redner's is typically a reasonably pleasant experience, so I hope that this was an anomaly because a similar repeat experience could certainly result in the loss of at least one loyal customer. Thank you for the opportunity to express...
