Walnut Creek Antique Mall — Local services in Dover

Really had fun in this well-organized, reasonably-priced treasure trove of things you didn't know you needed. While in Holmes County I visited countless antique stores over four days. This one seemed to be operated by local Amish. When discovering a celluloid photo album filled with cabinet cards, but not priced, I asked if the seller could please be contacted and asked. I was certain it would be way above my budget. While the album was not in pristine condition with a couple of loose pages, it was remarkably intact and full of lovely images. After looking around for awhile, I returned to the counter and was told they'd sell for $10! I freely paid $30. I wasn't out to rob anyone! My point is I did notice prices were overall more reasonable or lower than the other antique stores I'd visited where their was often some price...

This has become one of my favorite places to snag a great find on every visit. We usually begin while waiting to get into Rececca's Bistro next door. I'll do a quick run through then come back after lunch to do some buying. Allow some time. I spent 2 hours in there this trip; it must be our 8th visit to this shop. I call this place - A museum with a price tag on everything! I've gotten antique tools, yardsticks almost 100 years old, Edison cylinder records, knives, and a couple of big primitive pieces of furniture. My wife has been equally as happy with all our visits. You will not leave empty handed. Prices are fair to a steal. You never know. Certainly worth a nice long visit if you like antiques at junk store prices in an air conditioned, clean store. Nice and clean antique mall along with warm and welcoming family owned business. Prices, along with treasures, were fabulous to find here, walked out with quit a few treasures today. If you're into longberger baskets, you can find so many sizes, types, styles, and discounts, ladies. Vintage antiques I've never seen before and treasures you don't find too often. Came out with a windfall of treasures to take home, and the prices were so incredible. Big shout out to Mary and her husband.
