The Google reviews had me VERY hesitant to go here-and you should know, I am (was) 98% of the time a CVS shopper. This is a long story but hopefully helpful:
I needed a canvas photo for a birthday gift-The Sand Lake Walgreens was closest to me, BUT I ordered it at another Walgreens much further away because of the 2 star reviews of this location. The other Walgreens emailed me the next day and had to cancel order due to supply issue. The alert was fine-but now I needed it done within a smaller deadline and I was looking further and further away. I called Walgreens' Customer Service to find out if she could tell me where there was supply and she told me SAND LAKE-Ok at that point-I had to get it done-Customer Service THANKFULLY forwarded my exact order (I had none of my pics or order details with me so I was so relieved she could find the Walgreens with the supplies and just forward my order)-- I called Walgreens Sand Lake a couple hours later, just to confirm my order was there and all good, they picked up the phone suprisingly fast for any drugstore company big or small and knew my order immediately--Okayokay--Quick phone pick up, my order had been transferred-And the staff member who picked up the phone was professional, courteous and sweet(at 10 p.m.)! Still those 2 star reviews were like 2 pesky bugs I kept trying to swat away.
I show up the next day with the 2 stars flying around my head and I wait in the pick up photo line-There was plenty of staff and they were, very nice, helpful, smiles, patient and professional with each customer even if the customer was not the same in kind. OK I'm next and I was hoping for the best AND expecting....to have to go run and buy another gift... Big reveal--- FANTASTIC!!! BLOWN AWAY!! From the sturdy box to the pristine canvas, the crisp printing, the richness of colors and the hanging hardware quality!! The gift easily looked $300+!! Just so you know, it was $200+ (3 16x20 canvas) and then with their coupon $97!! My art skill is a 2/10 if you look at it solely by candlelight, their printwork made it look like a 10/10!! I could not give the photo gentleman my money fast enough!! I ran my 3 canvas TREASURES to my car so I could pick up a few other items before I left Walgreens. I couldn't find what I needed and a staff member was pushing a load of merchandise, I asked if he could point me in a direction of what I was looking for, he put the merchandise cart to the side and walked me over, HELPED ME LOOK until WE found it! Grabbed the rest of my items headed to the cashier, cashier lovely-nice-kept the line moving-My Walgreens adventure over--I left thinking I was happy (albeit reluctant) going in--I left there uplifted-overjoyed From the employees to the product-A grand slam experience, from start to finish! WALGREENS WE SHALL MEET AGAIN...
Read moreI need to stress the profound disrespect I suffered at the 7650 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819 unit. Unprepared attendants, ignorant and immoral management. I need to take a continuous medication to replace my thyroid hormones. I went to my doctor in December and picked up my medication. That has been my pharmacy for a year now. Last Friday, I asked for a new refill. The app never updated, not informing me of the status of my medication. On Sunday I ran out of medication. On Monday, I received a message saying there had been an error. I ordered again and went to the pharmacy. The attendant, grumpy and impatient, asked if I was still on the same plan. She said she was manually ordering the medication because their system was frozen. The medication would be ready today. And it wasn't. Was I notified? No, the app simply changed the delivery date to tomorrow, charging me for the medication I got for free because of the plan. I had to call. After waiting half an hour, the attendant said that the prescription had expired. I asked why they didn't tell me and why they accepted the refill, I waited two days for nothing. She went to check, the manager answered the phone asking if I knew if my doctor had sent the prescription to another person or pharmacy (?????), then said that they didn't have the medicine in stock and that I needed to go to another pharmacy, then hung up on me. So here I am, another day without my medicine. Deplorable. I have to waste time calling my doctor and changing pharmacies, probably...
Read moreTerrible Pharmacy Service Avoid!!! I received a text message my prescription was ready on a Saturday, I went to this Walgreens on Monday afternoon. The employee (technician) called Armarys was taking care of one customer and I was next and the only one there. She took around 20 min (or more) to take care of that customer who was dropping off a prescription. After she was done I moved forward and she didn’t even look at me and left. She came back around 10 minutes later and went to talk to a coworker, then came back and told me “one minute” and left again to get some gloves, and took a long time to put them on, then stayed talking to another coworker. I timed it and I spent more than 27 minutes waiting for her. I was still the only customer there. When she came back she asked for my DOB and I provided. She said there were no prescriptions, I told her I received the text and maybe was under a different name and she said she wanted to see that text message and I checked but had deleted it. She said, “no text message no prescription” and dismissed me like I was a bag of dirt. Super unprofessional and disrespectful. I would rather change pharmacy than go...
