We we initially excited to support this local furniture store — they have a great showroom with styles we love, and the staff was attentive while we were shopping. We ordered a custom nursery chair in mid-April and were told it would arrive in 6–8 weeks. We paid a significant amount and felt good about supporting a local business.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
By the end of May, we hadn’t heard a single update, so we called to check in. They said it should be arriving soon. A couple of weeks later, still nothing — so we called again. This time they said they needed to reach out to the sales rep and would get back to us. Days later, we finally got a call back and were told the chair should arrive by the end of June. That’s when they casually mentioned it was delayed due to a backorder — something they never once proactively communicated to us. If we hadn’t followed up ourselves repeatedly, we wouldn’t have known anything.
End of June comes… still no chair. At this point, it’s been 10 weeks. We called again, and they said they just received the invoice and that it should be arriving soon — again blaming the delay on the fabric.
The chair didn’t arrive until mid-July — 12.5 weeks after we ordered it, despite being told it would only take 6 to 8 weeks.
We asked if they would waive the $40 delivery fee as a courtesy, given the fact that we had to chase down every update and the order took significantly longer than promised. They refused — saying it wasn’t their fault. We then asked if they would offer store credit instead, and again, they said no.
What’s most frustrating is the total lack of communication and care after the sale. Not once did anyone reach out to us with an update. For the price we paid, we expected better follow-through and at least some effort to make things right. We would have expected them to be open to rectifying the issues with us, their customer, first — and then handle the supplier issues on their end.
When we picked up the chair and got it home, we noticed the backrest leaned at an odd angle when leaning back. After checking, we saw a screw was missing from the bottom of the backrest where it clips in. We contacted the store, and to their credit, they quickly reached out to their supplier, who is now sending us a replacement part.
We’ve since learned a friend of ours had a very similar experience with this store. If you do decide to shop here, I strongly recommend only buying floor models or items that are not...
   Read moreWow. I have been so impressed with RF2 since first walking in a few weeks back. We had been to several furniture stores in the area and searching online for sectionals for our new house. We were having trouble finding a balance between quality and price. As a last resort, we popped into the store downtown on the way home. As soon as we stepped in, I was in love. The style was exactly what we were looking for - we wanted something a little more modern and fresh that didn't look exactly like what we'd find in our parents' or grandparents' homes. Naturally, because of that, I assumed it was WAY out of our price range until we actually looked at the sectional prices. For a little bit more (only a few hundred more than the really cheap stuff we found at other stores), we got a sectional that was MUCH nicer than some other stores we had stopped into. It felt like the $2300+ sectionals we had checked out and decided against and you can completely customize your couch with different sections and have literally hundreds of fabrics to choose from.    Read moreThis was are first stop to look for new living room furniture. We stopped at RF2 to get started looking. They greeted us when we walked in and answered all the questions we had. We found a great sectional we loved and after going thru the different configurations we found the perfect fit for us. All it was missing was a table/ottoman. They had to be listening to what my wife was saying about her style because she took us to the perfect piece. We bought both pieces that day and had smiles on our face on the ride home. That’s how good of an experience we had. It was delivered and set up today and looks great in are living room.
