I DO NOT RECOMMEND ELLIS APPLIANCE REPAIR!! We were having a problem with our dishwasher, so I called Ellis Appliance Repair because that's were we had originally purchased all of our new appliances from. Anyway, they sent a service tech out the same day and he diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. I waited for quite awhile before finally calling to find out what was going on and I was told that they were waiting for the part to come in, but they said it was supposed to come in that day, so they set up a time for the following day for the service tech to come out and install the new part. The service tech came the next day as planned, but unfortunately, the company sent the wrong part. I was told that they would have to reorder the part and as soon as it comes in they would come back. During this time we were told by the service tech that it would be alright to continue using the dishwasher, so that's what we did up until the morning that I loaded the dishwasher and started it and within about 10 minutes or so after I turned it on, I started smelling a very strong burning wire smell, so I immediately turned the dishwasher off. After about a week and a half of not hearing back from them, I called to check-in and see if they had gotten the new part yet and I was told that they were still waiting for it, so I waited about another week and I still hadn't heard back from them so I called again and once again I was told that they were still waiting for the part. Later that same day I called another local appliance repair service and they came out the same day and ordered the part and came back to fix it and had our dishwasher back up and running all within less than a weeks time. It's now been about a month and a half since the last time that I spoke with Ellis when I was told that they were waiting on the part and I have yet to hear back from them. SO I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND WASTING YOUR TIME CALLING Ellis Appliance Repair for any type of appliance...
   Read moreI made a repair ticket with my home warranty company and they sent Ellis. First technician said he would not be able to get parts because my fridge was too old. When I called a week later to my HWC for an update on my fridge they said that there were able to order parts, but the parts they named off were not what was wrong with the fridge. When I called Ellis myself, Dave (owner) set up a time to come out the next day and never showed up and wouldn’t answer my calls after that. 3 calls in to my HWC and they finally made contact with them and they lied and said they have been trying to call me to come repair. LIE!! Dave shows up the am and I am very upset with all the lies and he blames his wife. Then proceeded to tell me that he has no parts and was here to just look at it again, but told my HWC yesterday he was coming to fix it. I told him what I thought and asked him to leave my house. They did replace a gasket, but it continued to leak, came again said it was the pump not the gasket, but good news was the pump would be covered under warranty. Now can not get a call back have called there 12 times...
