Quick, polite and accurate orders every time. One of the best fast food places in Dubuque.
01/14/19 update: used to go here a few times a month for a quick meal. Went here 01/01/19 and placed an order as usual. Got back home and realized 2 items were missing. Went back to the restaurant to get them made. Got home again and realized 2 items were made wrong. Went back again to get these corrected. When asking to speak with someone about this, I had to wait almost 15 minutes. The person who I spoke with was rude and blew the whole thing off as "we were busy". I can appreciate that but by the time I got home it was over an hour since my order was placed. Food was cold and the whole situation just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I send feedback via the website and tried to call the store manager. At this point, now almost 2 weeks later I have sent 3 emails via their website, called over a dozen times and have not gotten any response. I called corporate on 01/11/19 and finally got through to someone but they have to refer me to the store specifically. I was also lucky to reach the "manager" (Justin Lee) on 01/11/19 but he refuses to take any responsibility on the matter and punted this to someone else. I don't know what it is with Dubuque but the fast food service here is terrible. Most fast food places in the area are slow, rude and inconsistent with their service. It is complacency that has caused this but even when trying to get things corrected, the people in charge of enacting change are not receptive and handle the matter as such. I doubt this update will make a change but it's the last option I can think of at the moment. Hopefully it at least saves someone else from dealing with these incompetent people. Go somewhere else - Adobo's, Los Aztecas, Carlos O'Kelly's or Taco John's.
04/01/19 update - still no resolution to the above matter. This manager is a terrible excuse for a manager and the way he treats/ignores the customer is indicative of how he runs this store. He should absolutely not be able to manage a store. This is an absolute joke and you would think someone at corporate would take note after 3 months of regular follow-up but no one seems to care that the staff can repeatedly gets order mixed up and can be extremely rude to the customer. Go somewhere else or be aware you'll be treated terribly with any service...
Read moreI've eaten here before without much issue, but this visit I had yesterday has soured my opinion of this location drastically. The only reason I do not have a lower rating is my previous experiences have been fairly positive. My experience from yesterday: My friend and I stopped by the drive-thru for a quick meal. after a several minute wait for someone to come take our money I noticed that the employee was wearing food gloves. That did not seem right to me in my food service experience, so i asked if she was going to change her gloves before she prepared our food. however she rudely asked if i was going to come in and watch her change her gloves and to not tell her how to do her "damned job." the incident was further worsened when the manager on duty (Raven) gave us our food, but was demanding my name because her employee was offended at such a request. I have worked in a bakery for over 2.5 years, and I would take my gloves off whenever taking an order, as well as change them whenever a customer asked without question, even if I just put them on. That is proper food code, and the simplest customer service. I was appalled by such unprofessional behavior from this store, and my friend was left with an anxiety attack from such a verbal assault. Such a fuss over such a simple action that should be done without question, I had to go to the Hillcrest street location uptown to talk with their GM to have this situation resolved. I was very appreciative that she listened so well, and I was surprised to hear that such a situation was recurring repeatedly. This location MUST get their act together, or I will travel the extra distance to the uptown restaurant, or go to a different eatery entirely...
Read moreOne of THE WORST experiences in my life!! If I didn’t have to rate with a star to post this, they wouldn’t get one! I have never, in my entire life, had such horrible service and seen such poor attitudes in any place I’ve been! A group of us went after the Skillet concert in Platteville, WI tonight and the staff was unbelievably awful! The dining room was so dirty and there were bugs on the table, they claimed they were out of hard shell tacos and yet we saw them making some. One couple in our party ordered sour cream and didn’t get it even though they were charged for it and no one would get it for them! When the “manager” finally showed his face, he said “calm down and wait”...even though their food was getting cold. Another order of the same was made for one of the others in the group and they were double charged for their sour cream. Mind you, we waited 20 minutes in the first place and there were only 2 other tables in there. I went up to the counter to ask about the price discrepancy and they refused to acknowledge me. I asked twice to speak to someone and they just glared at me. I waited 8 minutes at the counter and no one would come over so we began turning their business away for them. When someone finally came to the counter, he was extremely rude and called me a liar and walked away. “Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back” hangs on a sign in the restaurant but no one cares there! We spent over $25 and the rest of our group, along with 2 other car loads left without ordering because of how we were treated! Absolutely unprofessional and...
