Five Below — Local services in Duluth

This messy location had almost the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I bought 2 charging cords for my IPhone and one lasted a day and the other lasted 2 days. I brought the chargers back to the store for an exchange and they would not let me exchange them. I threw away the boxes thinking that they would last longer than one day. They would not let me exchange the cords. I simply wanted them to get a new cord off the shelf give me the new cord out of the box and return the broken one the wherever they return their items. The manager came and talked in circles about policies and not having a receipt. Their systems were too old to look up the transaction. I just wanted cords that worked. The manager in no way tried to make the customer happy. She was oblivious to the fact that all she needed to do was fix the situation so I could leave happy. That’s like management 101 , never let a customer leave the store upset. Every customer should leave happy. I can only imagine how much business that terrible manager is losing. If I owned that store I would be furious. Highly do not recommend! I understand that it’s mostly cheap junk there, but at least exchange it for working items....

I do not live close by any means..... this is the 2nd time in a row I've attempted to come to the mall just to visit Five Below, and they close literally by the time I get there. My client enjoys coming here and we have to plan ahead our trips. Both times we have barely been in the store for 5 mins when someone announces that the store is closing in 10 mins. I do not know if this is a staffing issue or what but it has always been before 6pm when we get there. If they are going to be closing early all the time then they need to chance their store hours so that people are not wasting their Gas and time coming all the way here just to be turned away. Now I don't even know when to take the chance coming back especially since this has been weeks in between this has happened I can't be sure if it's an every day occurrence or not. Very frustrating. The mall doesn't even close until 8pm and some people don't have the luxury to come at an...

My family and I have been to this location a few times. When they first opened, the self checkouts were actually self checkouts. Now, there is only one associate working at a time, who does not greet customers at the door or seem to acknowledge them in any way until they are at the checkout. The last two times we have visited this location, all but one of the self checkouts were closed and the employee was busy talking with someone else. In both cases they appeared to be talking with a friend, not another customer. Then, we were checked out at the self check out by the employee. Both times they were rude, impersonal and seemed like they were rushing us during check out, even there was no line. This last time the employee took a toy we were going to purchase from my son’s hands and scanned it before he carelessly tossed it rather than handing it back.

Overall a terrible experience.
