Terrible staff. The store itself is just okay.. The clothing and other items sold here are okay, basic, nothing too special... (Nothing too exciting is sold here.) But the staff is very unaccommodating, not helpful what so ever, they harass you more than help you.. If they wiped out pretty much all their staff with better employees and higher standards in stocking, cleanliness, etc. Turn up the Customer Service/ Customer appreciation/satisfaction a few million times more then it might be a decent place for the average shopper to go to and enjoy shopping at... But until then... It's the WORST JcPenny store I have EVER visited! Have had more bad/poor shopping experiences here than any where else in this mall. It's the only big department store in the Duluth mall.. It's a very sad excuse for a dying company... Which is why its a dying company and I'm sure will not last much longer and will in-turn cause us local Duluth shoppers to have ZERO big name department stores available for us to physically shop at. Hope the company see's this review and learn from it from a local shopper's point-of-view, see it and PLEASE just get it together!! 👏 👏 👏 Turn it around so people actually want to go shop there... Bc at the current time, I will NEVER spend money at this JCP location... Until this place is turned up side down and inside out for the better! It's a sorry excuse for a store. Has to be on my top 5 worst stores list ever in Duluth, MN..actually top 5 list of Worst stores Ever visited anywhere!! Mainly bc of the staff.. Needs major help. If there is a Television show or something like "Bar Rescue" or something along those lines that help completely turn things around, update and upgrade everything etc., At the "bar"/company, then this Duluth JCP...
Read moreJC PENNY MILLER HILL MALL DULUTH MN AROUND 1:00pm I give 0 stars because the cashier was rude and smart allic. I was there with my mom and son buying a bunch of school clothes she said kids are all REE LOADERS AND USELESS MEMEBERS OF SOCIETY! what the heck kind of thing is that to say to a kids grandmother while she's school shopping. I heard her say it to my mom as soon as me and my son were walking away from counter. She was working customer service desk at main entrance green hair chubby and early 20s. While she was supposed to be ringing up my mom, she was stopping and talking to other people that came in with dyed hair because she liked her jacket instead of finishing helping my mom when we're spending good money in there. She was very rude to me as well. I leaned on the glass door and it moved a couple inches I said "whoops I moved it accidentally " she looked at me smuggly and said "that's cuz it's a DOOR!"so I set my stuff down and walked out and that's when she said "kids are worthless freeloaders" I'm 40 years old and not a kid. Also my kid heard her and it hurt his feelings really bad. This is ridiculous to be treated this way and talked down to.. in there spending the little money we got so my kid has new clothes and she called him a "worthless freeloader " I'm very upset and would like something done and an answer...
Read moreThey started a new 60 day return policy which is a joke. My kid received a gift for his birthday which he will never use and since it was past the 60 days "which is not stated on the receipt" they will not allow us to return in even though we have a receipt. We were a week late but we were told there is absolutely no way they can let us return it for the purchase price. They only offered to do a no receipt return and give us $14.00 which the item was purchased for $70.00, I would rather give it away then let them resell it. The policy is also shown on a small piece of paper near the register, not very prominently I would add. My family will never shop there again and highly recommend that others do the same. It's stores ran with horrible policies and customer service like this that people choose to shop online, putting them out of business. There's absolutely no reason they can't offer in store credit when you have a receipt. You just lost customers and gained people that will talk negatively about your business and word of mouth goes a long way. Whoever came up with this policy...
