I never do this but I have to share my experience because I don’t want anyone else to have happen what I did. This week I got my hair cut here by Alyssa and it was completely botched. To start, they changed my appointment time 2 times after I had initially scheduled it. I wish I took that as a sign to cancel it. Then, when I got there, I showed her a picture of myself from a year ago and said I wanted it to look like that. It was probably 2” or so off of what I started at and layers- my hair is wavy and sometimes curly so it shrinks. It is not like I showed a celeb with a different face shape. It was a pic of me. What I got was a hack job that is chin length and even shorter when it is not straightened. There were pieces that were missed that were significantly longer than the rest, and it was jagged and blunt (ex pic below). When she asked if it was too short I was honest and said yes. She then kept saying I’m so embarrassed I’m usually more precise, etc, and it took everything in my power to not break down and start crying while I was there. The other stylist that was there was like well at least you don’t have to get it cut for a long time now! And that made me feel like crap. I felt like I could not say I didn’t like it when she kept saying she was embarrassed and sorry. Well at that point it is too late you can’t put it back! And now I am embarrassed because I look terrible and don’t want to be seen in public!. I should have asked for a refund then and there but I did not want to start crying. But I felt bad about how I looked. I feel so ugly and cannot even look at myself without crying. I went back today to ask them to fix it and and they tried to give me an appointment with Alyssa again and I said no. They had the asst. manager help me try soften the shaping and she did a really good job trying to fix the mess, but I am still having hair that is extremely shorter than I asked for unfortunately, though she was nice and professional and tried to fix it and help me feel betteThey did not give me a refund for my botched cut. they fixed it free of charge (which really was the least they could do.) I feel bad having people do free labor so I hope they give what I paid for my botched haircut to the stylist who fixed it since they wouldn’t give me my money back. $57 is extremely steep to get a haircut that looks like I did it myself l with craft scissors. I seriously cannot stop crying whenever I see my reflection. I am disappointed they would not give me a refund for the botched job. I asked for shoulder length and attached are photos of what they actually did. I really do not recommend you get your haircut here. For this type of work you are better off saving yourself money and going to great clips. So sad that I will have to live with my hair looking like crap for 2 months while i wait for it to grow to a decent length. Photo with the blue shirt and crossed out face is what I showed and asked for. Other photos are what she did. Last photo with pink shirt and crossed out face was after it was fixed as...
Read moreI'm writing a review based on the HAIR SALON. I have gone here twice for my hair. The first time I came in the store to get my eyebrows done and was talked into getting my hair dyed. I liked it and the price was good. This second time I went in i had a stylist name Amy which I had an appointment for a color correction. I dyed my own hair pink and I wanted it fixed to be a better looking bubblegum pink. When I called to make the appointment I was told her schedule was cleared to help me. When I arrived I showed her multiple pictures of a bright bubblegum pink. She said it will take at least 3 hours. She used a color remover and bleach. When rinsing my hair of the bleached she went in with 3-4 different toners. After the 2nd toner she said she didn't have time to dye it pink and she will charge me for a total blonde instead of color correction. I was very upset and started crying but due to my anxiety i kept it hidden. My hair looked more blonde then pink. She said I can dye it myself to get a brighter color. NOT DO IT HERSELF. I paid $155 when a total blonde is $110. Due to the toner I cannot dye my hair the way I want. would of rather just left after the bleach. i regret wasting my money. I liked my hair better before i wasted $155. On top of it she wasn't very friendly like all the other staff there either. I just...
Read moreThank you SO much to Natalia!
I just wanted to take a moment to RAVE about the amazing service I received today from Natalia at Ulta!
I came in hoping to return a product I had purchased months ago. I live quite a ways out of town and kept forgetting to bring it back, so I had unfortunately missed the 30-day return window. The product had been recommended to me on a previous visit, but the shade was way too light for my skin.
Thankfully, Natalia was there and went above and beyond to help me.
Not only did she take the time to find me a much better shade match, but she also walked me through under-eye skin prep and makeup techniques tailored to my maturing skin. As I’ve gotten older, my skin just doesn’t behave the way it used to—makeup application has become more of a challenge, especially with fine lines, wrinkles, and stubborn dark circles.
Natalia was patient, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care. I left the store not just with a better product, but with more confidence in how to use it.
Thank you, Natalia, for your care, skill, and generosity today—I’m so grateful! I sincerely hope Ulta recognizes the incredible customer service...
