I don't even know where to begin! My husband and I have been getting massages a couple times a year for a while now at a different place. After leaving Lotus Massage it honestly made me question if I had been scammed for the last 5 years! I didn't even know a massage could be as healing of an experience as it was today. It's as if they could see right through my body and knew exactly where I needed more attention than others. Rather than trying to upsell you every moment they included things like hot stones in their process without charging extra. The hot stones were amazing as well. I have had hot stones before but it was nothing like this. Rather than just rubbing it on your body they used it to warm/loosen the areas that were extra tense and do a deeper massage there. WE WERE TOLD OUR TIP WAS INSUFFICIENT AND WERE ASKED TO RAISE IT. This used to be my favorite massage place in the area: the massages were at a 4-5 star level, the environment was tranquil and clean, and the staff were always accommodating with very little wait time. Yesterday (Oct. 27 around 5:45PM), I had scheduled a half-hour couples massage, and when we were walking back to the room, I confirmed it was for half-an-hour. Instead, the masseuses did a full hour (we were late for our next event :/). That itself would have been fine, but when we were checking out, my girlfriend wrote a tip, and the woman checking us out looked at it, told her it was too small, and insisted that she raise it. That sort of thing seems entirely inappropriate to me, so I don't plan to return unless we receive an apology. I went here yesterday for an hour and a half massage for the first time to try a new place. The massage was ok, except it started with one girl who was very good, but ten minutes in a different lady came in and finished the massage. She basically just hurt me, and when I told her to do less pressure she didn't. Then, when I paid I tipped her, and she demanded more money for a tip (I tipped 25). I obliged and gave her another 5, but I won't be returning. I've never had someone tell me a tip wasn't enough. Had the massage been better I would've tipped more.
