I wanted to cut the hair, make the upper part magic and set the lower part the setting perm. I made a reservation to SM Hair, and now I am very disappointed in almost everything I’ve experienced including the result of my hair. I told her that I wanted to do my hair to the shoulder-length after the perm is finished. But when she cut my hair it was not reached my shoulder already. During the perm, she was keep saying to me to believe her that the hair should be not very short. However, obviously, when she did the perm in the lower part of my hair, my hair became very short which the length was not even close to what I told to her. I was so angry, but the hairdresser did not acknowledge his fault and did not apologize. Also, I made a setting perm using the machine, but because of the machine issue, right part of my hair was treated twice. The hairdresser noticed the failure of the machine only after the procedure is finished. So, the hair on my right side was very damaged, and the result (style, length etc.) of the perm came out differently on the left and right side. However, again the hairdresser did not apologize or make any compensation for the problem. She just told me that this is the first time she so such issues. The most annoying thing about me was that all the above procedures took about 7 hours!! The hairdresser spent 7 hours on the short hair that does not even touch the shoulder and the setting perm. At first, the hairdresser told me that all the procedures would be completed in 4 hours. So, I went there around 10 AM and try to have lunch around 2 PM. However, I had to stay in the hair salon up to 5 PM! There were only two guests besides me, and they were all customers with simple cuts. I still cannot understand why I had to undergo such a long time! I did not want to pay the price of $ 200 after seeing the result, but I did not want to talk to a hairdresser about it anymore because I was so tired and hungry. If you want to cut hair or make a perm, I really do not recommend this place!

나는 머리카락을 자르고 윗부분은 매직을 하고 아랫부분은 셋팅 파마를 하고 싶었다. 그래서 sm헤어의 원장 지우에게 예약을 하고 시술을 받았는데 여러 부분에서 실망스러웠다. 일단 나는 원장에게 머리카락을 어깨에 닿을 정도로 자르고 싶다고 말했다. 하지만 머리카락을 자르고 거울을 보니 내 머리카락은 이미 어깨에 닿지 않았다. 게다가 나는 파마를 했기 때문에 최종적으로 내 머리카락은 아주 짧은 단발머리가 되었다. 요구와 다른 결과물에 화가 나서 원장에게 이야기했지만, 그녀는 자신의 잘못을 인정하지 않았고 사과도 하지 않았다. 그리고 기계를 이용하여 셋팅 파마를 했는데 기계의 고장으로 나는 오른쪽 옆 부분 머리카락만 두 번 시술받았다. 원장은 시술 후에야 기계의 고장을 알아차렸다. 그래서 내 오른쪽 옆 부분의 머리카락은 매우 손상되었고, 파마의 결과물도 왼쪽과 오른쪽이 다르게 나왔다. 그러나 원장은 문제에 대해 어떤 사과나 보상도 하지 않았다. 마지막으로 나를 가장 화나게 했던 것은 위의 모든 시술이 무려 7시간이나 걸렸다는 점이었다. 처음에 원장은 나에게 모든 시술이 4시간 안에 마무리된다고 했지만, 그 말을 믿은 나는 식사도 하지 못하고 sm 헤어에 갇혀 있어야 했다. 심지어 그 날 손님은 나 외에는 두 명 뿐이었고, 그들은 모두 간단한 커트를 하는 손님들이었다. 나는 지금도 왜 그렇게 오랜 시간이 걸렸는지 이해할 수 없다. 결과물을 본 후 솔직히 200불이라는 비용을 지불하고 싶지 않았지만, 식사도 못하고 지친 상황이라 더 이상 원장과 이야기하고 싶지 않아 팁까지 지불하고 미용실을 나왔다. 하지만 거울을 볼 때마다 도저히 참을 수가 없어 리뷰를 남긴다. 만약에 머리카락을 자르거나 파마를 하고 싶다면 다른...

Found SM Hair Studio Salon while looking around online for local hair salons. After going to the same one for the past 5 years, I wanted to try something different but was nervous about trying someplace new. Decided on here because it seemed like 97% of the reviews were 5 stars, which I'd never seen before on Google, so I made an appointment for the next day.

At the salon, I was greeted warmly and the bossman was kind enough to offer me iced coffee while I waited. He then washed my hair, and I was impressed by how gentle yet thorough he was. We also chatted about this and that, and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that much at a hair salon before. For my haircut, I began by roughly telling the boss-lady what I didn’t like about my current hair and what I wanted instead. After listening carefully, she explained in detail how, besides being uneven and choppy, my current hairstyle had been made using thinning scissors. While quick and easy to use, they tend to cause a lot of damage, and the hair will usually end up looking limp and lifeless within two weeks. For this reason, although they require more time and effort on her part, she uses standard scissors to cut hair because they allow her to create a style that not only has long-lasting results but looks even better as it grows out, which she said is a sign of a good haircut. I knew she was trustworthy when she let me know in an honest manner that unfortunately, the damage was irreversible. She assured me she would still try her best to create the look I wanted, but at that point, I had already made up my mind to let her chop it all off instead. After hearing how knowledgeable she was, it was a quick and easy decision to trust her with my hair.

My previous hair had looked very thin and flat, and I had always just assumed it was my hair type. So when I saw the final result, I couldn’t believe how full, thick, and bouncy my hair looked, despite being so much shorter. I had told her I wanted something short but low-maintenance, and she explained in detail exactly how she achieved that by both making the length just before my collarbones so my hair wouldn’t curl outwards and layering the back slightly so I wouldn’t need to style it if I didn’t want to. This haircut exceeded my already high expectations, and for the first time ever, I’m actually excited for one that I love this much to grow out. I will be moving to California in the near future but already know that whenever I need a haircut, I’ll be traveling back across the country just to get it here. Service, haircut, people and experience factor - all 10/10. After leaving, I could immediately tell why there had been so many 5-star reviews for this salon. Wow...I had such a wonderful experience at this SM hair salon, which was quite satisfying !!

The time I visited SM at first was 2 months ago already. Back then My hair was very long at the same time seriously damaged a lot owing to frequent colorings the hair and the lazy management partly because of this damn corona virus.

The hair designer and her husband ( the boss of the shop) at this hair studio were perfectly prepared to make customers super happy!!

The hair designer was such a skillful professional, who made my weakened hair alive! Frankly speaking, when I was told that it would take 4 or 5 hours to complete the perm, deep down I thought she was exaggerating the process. However, I got the fully elaborated 4 hour- perm. It was true and she was so concentrating on my hair while she was doing mine. Every moment she was doing my hair and even words she said to me were touching a lot because I felt her sincere efforts.

Her husband ( the boss the shop) was so kind and hilarious staff , who is a perfectly equipped with service- mind set for customers. He also gave me one hair treatment as a first visit gift, which made my satisfaction much bigger :) haha

I cannot help highly recommending to people and especially person who has damaged hair to recover. I guarantee that you won't regret at all !!

Definitely will go to this salon another time again. Would like to say thank you for your sincerely hard working to make successful result although it passed 2 months already.

여기 SM 에 매직펌 +케라틴 받으러 2달 전에 방문했었어요. 워낙 염색도 많이 했었고 한국에서는 그나마 영양을 주기적으로 받았는데 미국와서 코로나 때문에 집콕하고 있으니 그 사이 머리카락이 심하게 손상되었어요.정말 미용실에 가기도 창피할 정도였어요. 예약할때 시술이 전체적으로 4-5시간이상 소요된다는 말을 듣고 한국에서는 매직받을때 2시간 반이면 충분했기에 좀 놀랐어요. 그런데 실제로 펌을 받을때 원장님이 굉장히 섬세하고 꼼꼼하게 하시면서 쉬는시간 없이 쭉 5시간 가까이를 채우시더라구요. 시술받는 내내 원장님이 정말 장인정신으로 해주신다고 감동했는데 결과물은 감탄 그 자체!! 한국에서 펌이나 영양 했을때보다 훨씬 만족스러웠어요. 시술 받는동안 원장님 살아오신 얘기 간단히 해주셨는데 참 인상적이고 멋지단 생각들더라구요. 원장님 남편되시는 사장님 또한 얼마나 친절하신지 방역에 굉장히 신경써주시고 손님 불편한거 없는지 꼼꼼히 살펴주셨어요. 부부이신 두분이 일할때는 정말 협력하신다고 하셨는데 진짜 팀웤 최고 ㅋㅋㅋ 암튼 이곳으로 가길 너무 잘했어요. 특히 저처럼 손상 심하신 분들 강추합니다. 2달이 훌쩍 넘었는데도 워낙 잘해주신 덕분에 머릿결이 아직 살아있습니다....
