I walked into the store yesterday with my two boys looking for a piece of furniture for my home. We were walking around quietly looking and my boys saw a globe. Like any two eleven year old boys you spin the globe. I hear screaming coming from the front the front of the store. A woman sprinted up to my boys screaming at them (literally) do not touch it, I saw you on the cameras!!! (Like they are criminals… two 11 year olds that saw a globe and spun it, such criminals!) I mentioned that there was no sign on it, otherwise I would not have let them touch it. She said you can leave my store now.. these are two straight A boys that literally never get into announce of trouble. She then said I need to raise them better.. they didn’t even say anything to her when she asked them to stop, they immediately stopped. I was in shock that someone could talk to children like that, I gave them a nice talk in the car that they did nothing wrong and some people are just unhappy and that it’s especially sad when people talk down to children like they are second class citizens. We were going into another furniture store a little while later and they were apprehensive about going in. I reminded them on what good boys they were and to not let one unhappy mean person effect that. We went into the store and all of the employees were so nice to them as they should be. It’s sad that someone who is supposed to be setting a good example for our next generation could do that and how it can effect kids. Awesome experience for me all around! I called to ask about a specific piece and delivery (I live roughly an hour away) and spoke with Tim. He knew the piece and answered every question I had, then told me their (unexpextedly) reasonable delivery charge. I told him I'd think about it because of the delivery time available, and would get back to him. He actually called ME back about an hour and a half later and worked out the perfect delivery time according to my schedule. I spent a small chunk of money here on several items and bought 2 chairs for $40...not much but after 2 weeks the springs started sagging below the seat frame. I'm not a big person and it's just me. I called the store today to simply ask for a trade and sent them pictures. The owner DID NOT return my call! And furthermore got very snooty with me when he delivered the furniture to my place because I have a small elevator. I ended up paying an extra $100 for delivery and a whole lot of attitude.
