The Kitchen Dunedin — Restaurant in Dunedin

Went by just after the grand opening and saw that the old Chatterbox restaurant decor still held up for the new proprietor. That's good cuz it was in very good shape. We'll all miss the Chatterbox but a great group of folks took it over who were related to the owners of Our Place. In fact the menu for The Kitchen are using a very similar menu to that. There were two two of those restaurants one is on Missouri the other one is on 580 in Dunedin. Those are under new ownership but kept the old menu. It's a perfectly fine menu and now that menu is carried over into this new restaurant which is inside the old Chatterbox location on Patricia. My friend and I got take out and it was excellent of course. I'm glad there's something in the Dunedin bowling lanes building because anybody from that neighborhood is used to having that place to go to. I know that Norma and Greg and their family will do an excellent job there making five star food and service. NEW: I am issuing a crossthearea notice that there are so many really innovative and what I like to call gourmet grunge Recipes like the ones you see on the gourmet cooking shows and things don’t seem to change very often at many of our local restaurants so I am asking that chefs do specials quite often with really innovative or gourmet grunge items. I’m gonna have my own rating system from now on we’re at the beginning of every review I’m going to say whether I’m bored with this place and they’ll be three degrees of this. Bored, relatively excited, and exciting...

This place is absolutely amazing, along with the owners, who work in the restaurant daily, and the staff!! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and you would NEVER believe that this restaurant is connected to a bowling alley. It is more like a 5 star ⭐️ restaurant - that happens to be connected to a bowling alley. The food is absolutely amazing and you get quite a large portion of food. We had the cauliflower wings, with garlic buffalo, a prime rib sandwich with au jus, the club, a BLT, onion rings and potato salad!! Everything was SO good! Can’t wait to go back and try some more of the menu. If you can’t find something on their menu that you want, you are the problem, because it is quite the extensive menu! So many great choices and their desserts???? WOW!! What a variety! It’s definitely a scratch kitchen. You can tell nothing comes in frozen. Don’t bother with the couple of bad reviews they’ve gotten, because some people are impossible to please, and some of them are disgruntled past employees or competition trying to throw mud. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

I would highly recommend this restaurant. Their prices were reasonable and the menu was excellent. They’re open late for breakfast, which we love you could tell every meal was hand prepared and fresh. They were busy and New so the service was a little slower than it could’ve been but other than that there was absolutely nothing I could say that was negative about it. It’s inside of a bowling alley, but it does have its own entrances and we loved it! Great new late breakfast eaters restaurant for Clearwater Dunedin area! Best home, fries ever! And I don’t even like home fries! I can’t wait to go back and try lots of other things on the menu. I had the monte Cristo, which was excellent turkey was fresh not cut from a processed roll… Just delicious. They serve breakfast all day and they also have an extensive lunch and dinner menu! As a note - I saw another review giving less starts because the owner was talking to people so his service was slower....that's ridiculous!! It's a charming aspect of the place that the owner is friends with his patrons!! He's a nice man and very proud of his new place...
