NOT A REFLECTION OF THE PHARMACY, STORE OR CORE OF EMPLOYEES. After moving to the area, July 2023 and transferring to this Pharmacy I have been extremely pleased because let’s be honest, good pharmacies with good pharmacist and staff that work behind the scenes to assist the pharmacist is hard to find these days and I get it. They are overworked and underpaid, however this Pharmacy has been a godsend, and I was so grateful we found such a wonderful group of people at this pharmacy and this Walgreens in general and I am praying today was just an off day 🙏🏼 today being March 22, 2025, I witnessed a pharmacist 5:50 pm assisting a gentleman checking out next to me; I’m not absolutely certain but he looked to be 65+ he stated he had recently transferred his prescriptions to their pharmacy for the first time after moving to the area and I heard him question the pharmacist as to the 90 day supply of omeprazole being $105.00, he asked if he could get the same 20 mg over the counter cheaper as he thought that was considerably high for a co-pay; no reply! I am normally a stay in my lane kinda girl unless it comes to advocating for a patient, as a nurse I feel very compelled and will speak up in this scenario. So I did try to let him know that yes he is correct and to check different pharmacies as prices and coupons at different pharmacies at different times can make it much more affordable as SSI, Medicare etc doesn’t really afford most people with an extra $105.00 at the end of the month. The pharmacist being very rude and abrupt stated very loudly and condescendingly to him. I’m sorry I’m distracted by someone who is not a part of this conversation. Therefore it distracted him long enough to just go ahead and check out. She potentially caused this man to pay an exorbitant amount for an over the counter medication because she didn’t want to take the time to answer him or educate him on his options not to mention there are plenty of other ways to save via prescription savings cards etc.., as I walked up front to exit the store a sweet woman asked if I was having a nice day and I proceeded to explain the interaction I just had and she led me to the QR code to make a complaint as she sees me quite often and after explaining what I witnessed and that I felt compelled to help him by speaking up and I think being that we have somewhat of a rapore she knew I would not complain unless I was very, very put out. I did fill out the survey she referred me to as she was appalled as well stating we don’t behave like that at this pharmacy, I agreed and also let her know how appreciative I have been with everyone there prior to this incident. she stated she must be a stand in for today and she also stated by going to their website and leaving the review it would help eliminate her returning there as a stand in pharmacists hopefully 🤞🏼 in the future because as she said we don’t behave like that at this store and I told her I had been very happy with their service up until this incident and she helped me by knowing how to prevent this from reflecting on the future of their stores experience in the future because they are very proud to serve this community and pride themselves on being a very small but positive and passionate crew. Unfortunately I did not see her name but she assured me by going to the QR code I didn’t need her name just date and time that would clarify who the person was. So I did and am hoping this helps as I take care of my mom and have since 2012 and with her SSI and Medicare not being enough to live on and if she/ or I had to come out of pocket for omeprazole at $105.00 that would make it difficult financially and with first hand experience, being a nurse and understanding the financial landscape of today’s living situation I will damn sure speak up for someone who may not realize they...
Read moreThe pharmacist on duty 8/21/18 was totally ignorant about Abbott`s Freestyle Promise program applicable to their FreeStye glucose meter program, a program in which Walgrees id a nationwide participant. His ignorance and extremely poor communications skills created intense & uncomfortable customer service exchange resulting in having wasted my time and delayed my glucose testing for an extended time period. He mistook the Abbott program for the name of a meter he did not carry. My telephone calls were unsuccessful in resolving his obvious lack of knowledge. My personal visit was another total waste of time in that he repeated unfounded & fictionalized explanations for his lack of knowledge further exacerbating the situation. He could not and did not have the ability to distinguish between different meters and applicable test strips. He also kept trying to place the blame for his failings on me and my primary care doctor. His lack of knowledge and professionalism was astounding. It sent my blood pressure...
Read moreAlways liked this Walgreens until I started using their pharmacy. The store staff is always friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The pharmacy on the other hand is awful. They are understaffed and the staff they have is rude and argumentative. They claim they will have your Rx ready by the next day and then three days later tell you there's been a delay. The pharmacist claimed my PCP didn't approve the refill request but they sent the request to the wrong doctor. Horrible Service. Disorganized and Rude Staff! Such a disappointment especially compared to the rest...
