Los Amigos Dos — Restaurant in Dunedin

i have been going amigo's place for 8 years now .. started even before it had real restaurant part and official seating. i like the owner lady, and the original waitress maria, who unfortunately had to return to mexico because her mum was ill. we always loved the simple and authentic mexican cooking, even the cook was a nice guy and always said "hi" to me. but in the last a couple of years ever since maria left, the service has been going straight downhill. it is hit or miss at best, all depends on who works that day and what mood she is in. our most recent experience was so bad i can only give it a 3 star. this is NOT a full service restaurant, you go and get your own soda from the cooler and open it yourself. you bring the check to the cashier your self after you finish the meal (kind of like a diner in NJ) all of which are perfectly fine with me as i do not mind. the only thing i cannot get on my own are food and tap water. 5 of us went last week (myself, husband and our friend with his two teenage boys) neither of the two waitresses offered water to us which was not an issue till midway through the meal. one of the boys needed water, and 40 min later, we still did not get any. then i asked for water myself, one woman came and gave the water to the boy after 10/15 min. so when i asked her to bring another for me, i got a nice lecture how busy she was and that i had to wait. i told her that the boy waited for more than half an hour, and i waited for another 20 min. all the while, the other waitress was dedicating all her time and smile to a group of mexican men waiting for their take out. we'll still go for a quick bite as we live just half a block away. but it is sad to see a half decent place being ruined by halfwits like that (i am pretty sure if the owner had been there, both women would have...

Yes this was my husband and I first time ordering from this scam of a restaurant...We ordered online and received a message on my phone that said track order,order received and it would be ready at 7:53-7:59.I took a photo also as back up confirmation just because it always good to have..with all that being said,when my husband went to pick up the food they said they didn't receive the order.He showed them where the card got charged and the message and the photo I took off the website after the order was place.They refused to make the order.And told my husband he would have to re order and pay again.After talking to 3 people and showing bank statement and message and confirmation photo,we got no where.Dont order here..or don't order online at least..Worst...

Super Mexican food! I tried Uber eats for the first time and I was so happy that this restaurant was on there! It's hard to find good Mexican, authentic Mexican near Holiday especially one you can get delivered. My husband is from Mexico so I know good Mexican food. I ordered flautas with rice and beans. Excellent. Perfectly seasoned chicken, the refried beans are AMAZING! I don't know what they put in them but they are bomb! The rice is light and fluffy also perfectly seasoned. I got a side of chile toreados and they are perfect! The only thing I would change is to make the "red hot sauce" hotter. But I eat ghost peppers so maybe it is hot lol.
