I highly recommend First Call Computer Service. I originally called Roger to install more RAM thinking it would help to run some newer software I had just installed but had been freezing and crashing my computer. I live less than 10 minutes down the road from this business and when I called , he said he was able to stop by later that day to look at my computer regarding installing the RAM. After checking out my computer and getting more info about the new software I was having trouble with, he showed me how some of the inner components of my computer had become obsolete so did not "technically" meet all of the minimum requirements listed on the new software to run efficiently which also "may" have contributed to the glitches with the way the new software was running. He did confirm my RAM was getting low and he did say that adding more RAM "might" help it run to a level I would be okay with, but wanted me to know and understand about the minimum requirements listed on the new software and how my computer differed in case adding the memory wasnt enough. After learning more about the minimum requirements of the new software and understanding better what my old computer was running, I decided not to put a band aid on the problem, so to speak by simply adding more RAM. I asked Roger If he could build me a new computer that would work for my needs. We agreed on a fair price and within a few days Roger had the computer built and came over and did all the things that usually cause me to keep a computer way longer than I should to avoid the dreaded transfer of data process. I now have a super fast computer that runs the new software beautifully. Roger transferred all my data from my old computer to my new one and which for me was priceless. On July 11,Sunday, my computer malfunctioned; so I got out my yellow pages and looked up computer repair technicians and only got connected The first with voice mail; because it was Sunday. I left dozens of replies. Mr Roger Wincek was my first response. so he and I scheduled an appointment the next day, the first call computer service. He could not repair my computer on site so he took my computer to service in his shop.He diagnosed my Hard drive was the problem. He replaced my hard drive with a solid state hard drive which made my computer about 50 times faster. He installed windows10. He also set up my e-mail service making it simpler to access.He also installed an anti-virus program. He made it simpler to boot up my computer, which is so much faster. he was personable, helpful, respectful. Mr. Wincek explained what he did for in ways that i could understand without condescending to me. I would highly recommend him if you have need for a technician to repair you ailing computer. his fee was reasonable. His fee was about half I thought I was I was going to pay. I took my laptop to Roger to fix Outlook app that would not open. That fixed, he suggested I could improve my speed by installing a Solid State Drive for just a little more investment.
