What is a 16 Week Challenge at Dunnellon Martial Arts consisting of you ask? Well, I just completed my 16 Week Challenge, and I am glad I decided to accept. Before the pandemic I hit the gym almost every day and I felt good. During the pandemic the gym closed and working out by myself was just not cutting it. I lost all motivation and therefore gained weight. I felt heavy I hurt myself falling and I couldnāt get out of my slump. When I saw the post on Facebook about a 16-week challenge for weight loss I thought it was a scam because isnāt most FB posts for weight loss scams? After a few days I saw other people responding and Googled Dunnellon Martial Arts and decided to take a chance. I scheduled a meeting, met others who were there for the same reason and decided to take the challenge. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did because the challenge met my goals; lose weight, get out of the house, have fun and make some new friends). I lost 16 lbs. (so far š), Iāve regained my balance, and I feel stronger, Iāve even learned how to fall so I donāt hurt myself. The result of this challenge is that I am remotivated to continue working out, so I signed up for 4 more months. I strongly recommend that if you need a major change in your life, health and wellbeing take the next 16-week Challenge you will learn how to make better food choices; youāll have coaches who care about your success and can answer your questions on how to adapt the exercise to your old injuries. I started working out with them doing the 16 week challenge and have continued my fitness journey with them past the 16 weeks. I stopped working out 4 years ago so it wasn't an easy transition back into it but all of the classes I've attended with Coach Stefan, Tony and Skylar have made me WANT to be there and work harder towards building back and keeping my strength/flexibility/mobility. They are encouraging, knowledgeable, personable and kind to each of us even while pushing us to go a little harder during class as individuals.
